Waiting for NVC reply

Hi,

We got our NOA2 on 11th December, 2013 for I-130. After that there was no communication from NVC for further processing. I wrote an email in the first week of January, 2014 to NVC regarding this and they replied a week later stating that they recently got our case and will send the NVC processing steps within 30 days. But we are still waiting for any sort of reply and communication.

Please let us know:

1. How much time will the NVC take to process our case, I-130?

2. What are the next steps to expect from NVC for I-130 and how much time does each step take?

3. Is there any way to speed up the process?

1. How much time will the NVC take to process our case, I-130? Depends on how fast you send all your forms and documentation in.

2. What are the next steps to expect from NVC for I-130 and how much time does each step take? You need to get your case number and IIN number. Then you can fill out the DS-261 and pay your fees. After the fees are paid you can then send in your AOS packet and fill our the DS-260 form and send in supporting documents. Once all that is done then they will process the case.

3. Is there any way to speed up the process? Either you need to qualify for an expedite or you can read this thread and try and get a jump on things before waiting for them to send you info. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/478133-nvc-filers-february-2014/

For instance: Call NVC tomorrow and ask for your case number and IIN. Then follow the link to the payment portal in the post above. Pay your fees. Then if you are confident enough to put together the AOS and IV packets without the NVC checklists then keep going. The post above is very helpful.
