Not usre why you would insult anyone who is not aware of the acronym your counties heathcare goes by....be a little more charitable will'ya?

How will they control, well for starters.....

Think about all the things you eat that they think or know, cause an ill health effect.

Why shouldn't they ban smoking outright (not pot of course) or donuts or sugary drinks, alcohol, even salted nuts.

Why would they not (eventually) read the scanning on your food purchases and tax you accordingly, is it right that you eat beef more than they suggest and yet you pay no price for the added health risk? (the rational of a collectivism)

One of the activities they won't be concerned with is risky sex habits, Gay men have an explosion of added health risks and costs that most normal males do not have... but rest assured sodomy as opposed to high risk sports will not incur additional taxation, though the pleasure of a fine cigar will.

Decades ago Hillary tried to tie the taxing of ammunition to the cost of healthcare. Think about that on principle and ask yourself

1. how revolutionary that was.

2.And where one could take that exact logic.... and then imagine the funds to be raised from it as every thing from faster cars to downhill skies come with a premium tax.

WHo would go along with such a scheme? YOu and I when our monthly insurance premium goes high enough.

Thats for starters.

Which of these predictions have materialized in the socialist VA system?

More scare tactics.....

What the /right/ fails to mention is that most of these jobs were expected to be lost, this is no surprise. Many people are not tied to jobs they didn't even want just to get healthcare, but since they can shop on the exchanges can now pursue other jobs that may not offer healthcare. Another portion of these jobs that make up this number are employers who drop their fulltime people to part time because they don't want to pay insurance.

Perfect example, I have a cousin who works 3 jobs. She actually is a college graduate but can't find a good paying job in her field of study. Her 3rd job is a part time job at Starbucks on the weekends only. Why? Because they offer her healthcare benefits where the other two jobs don't. She is planning on quitting this job, thank God because she is always exhausted and never has time to properly rest, thanks to the Affordable Care Act because she can buy insurance from an exchange dancin5hr.gif

Real world example.

Yes, the CBO is fairly clear in the report that what is expected to decline is the supply of labor. The demand (read: jobs), on the other hand, is expected to rise due to the ACA. The labor supply decline is expected to be in the low wage sector. That should be good news to those still toiling in that sector as we know what the market dictates when supply declines but demand either holds firm or rises. Prices (read: wages) go up.

So I don't run with the herd. Do you?

When someone lies to me on more than two occasions I tend to stop believing them. How does the old saying go? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

And that is one of the things that killed his re-election. Obama fooled the country and somehow got a second term.

Edit: I was thinking of Bush 41 and the whole "read my lips, NO NEW TAXES" speech.

Not Obama's fault the Republicans couldn't come up with a candidate that stood a chance.

The republicans probably should avoid tea party, 1%ers, or the super religious types. If they do that, they might be ok next time around.
