Hi

We just got the news that our case is finally at the NVC. With the letter I received two invoices. One for $88.00 (Affidavit of Support) the second one is for $230.00 (Visa application processing fee). My question is if I just have to pay this amount and wait for forms or anything. Also, NVC sent me the I 601-A form. Do I have to send it at the same time with the money? As you can see I am kind of confused about what I am supposed to do now. I will really appreciate if any of you can give me some light.

Thanks heart.gif

There are alot of helpful links and info here. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/478133-nvc-filers-february-2014/

What country is your spouse from?

At NVC you need to send in your AOS (I-864) and complete the online DS-260. Once you pay your fees via the online portal you can send that all in. You do not have to wait for all their mailings that they are sending you. Look at the link I posted above and it will have a great deal of info.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the I-601A. I believe that is a provisional waiver. Does your spouse require a waiver? Here is the link to the instructions on that form and who is require to fill that out, but that is all I know about it. Maybe someone else can post with more info. http://www.uscis.gov/i-601a

My two cousins came from El Salvador. It was a pretty straightforward process, but that was before I-601A. One had to do the old I-601, and one was here under TPS.

So yes next pay those fees and complete the DS-261. The link to the payment portal is on that first link I posted. Then send in your AOS (I-864) and fill out your Immigrant Visa application and send in the supporting documents. Good Luck to you and your husband.

Thank You so much. Today I paid for my Affidavit of Support and my Visa Application. I have to wait for the payment confirmation (it says in progress but should change to paid) and I will start working on the I 601 A. I think I have to wait for the approved I 601 A to do the rest, im not sure though. I will continue to post as things progress.
