Those of you who have been approved, what did you provide with your I134? What did they ask for? Did they look at it right then and tell you if you had sufficient evidence?

We're going through Dublin, and we can update on Monday, but here's what I sent home with him back to Ireland: my last 3 pay stubs (I get paid once a month), a letter from my district stating where I am on the pay scale and also that my position is tenured, my last 3 years of tax records (I printed a copy of my tax transcripts so that I wouldn't have to include W2's).

We're more concerned about the "proof of relationship" part of it, although I've read that Dublin doesn't even take it. I guess we'll see on Monday. Honestly, I'm so glad we didn't have to wait for a few weeks between notification and actual interview. I'm more and more nervous as time goes by.

Hey everyone,

Thank you so much for all of your support! I finally had enough time to sit down and describe my interview in London properly!

So my appointment was at 9am, but I actually got to the Embassy at about 8:20. Good thing, too - as there must have been about 100 people in the queue already. There are actually two parts to the queue - the first they just check your DS-160 and interview letter, then you get sent back to the second queue (on the right) to get through security. I got through at about 9:15 - but I was around a lot of others who also had an interview at 9am so I assume they just stagger arrivals. Once through, I walked right around the embassy (you head to the right to get to the visas area), went in and there's a reception there where they scan the DS-160 and assigned me a number on a sticker. I sat down (nervously!) in this long hall that feels like an airport gate seating area. On the screen ahead, you see each person get called out to have an interview - there's enough room for maybe 150 or 200 people. The interviews don't seem to come in any order - so you have to pay attention to the screen and listen out for the 'ding' sound to see if it's your turn. There's a few booths to the right of the seating area and then more around the corner.

I waited about 15 minutes before my number was called for the first of two interviews - the lady was friendly but formal, asking for each of my documents in turn. She was happy with my affidavit and took all the relevant documents away. She took my fingerprints and was happy with them, and then I went and sat back down. I just want to add here, that I *wish* I had known that the number I was given is the same for both interviews - as I was worrying when I sat down - the woman had taken my number sticker away!

After waiting another half an hour (you can bring a book but you won't want to read anything - the constant beeping and glancing up to see if it's your turn will prevent you from doing anything useful), I finally got called to the second part - the bit I got nervous butterflies for. "This is it!" I thought. I went up to the second officer and he was a friendly, tall, all-american guy who asked me exactly the kind of questions I had heard about here on visa journey. I answered all of them, he did a little bit of typing, and he also looked through my affidavit just to confirm it all. After all that, he told me I had been approved!!

It was a really painless experience - and I'd just like to echo everyone else who has been through this - if you know your fiance - it'll be really easy.

As a side note - I mentioned that I knew a lot about the visa process through visajourney, and he said he knew about this site! Makes me wonder if they read them, just to see us quaking and quivering with nerves?

As of now, my CEAC says 'administrative processing', which it changed to a few hours after the interview. Now to wait... :)

been surfing sites for airfare. We've been stewing over the heinous price hike from June to July. :( Today, I found Budgetair.ie and their prices are GOOD! IDK if you can use it for other countries other not, but man, we SOOO want to jump on the airfare listed right now.

We are clearly gambling people (we booked our wedding for October 11th before the embassy even had our petition!), so we're entertaining the idea of booking flights after the interview. Thoughts? (Ireland takes a week, typically, between interview and visa in hand)

When are you thinking for POE? I think a week after is too close for comfort, but 2-3 weeks after might work. There's always the risk of it not working out, then you are out the money for the ticket. I would rather pay a little extra for peace of mind than gamble, but I am NOT a gambler LOL. We are waiting 6 weeks after the interview to do POE but will book the ticket right away to get a good price (assuming our approval of course). Maybe get a transferable ticket just in case?

By the way..................GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!! Can you believe we are already at this point of the process? It's crazy and went by wayyyy faster than I thought it would. Please update when you get a chance! I know I will be super anxious to hear about it, after all...you are my visa twin :D

I booked my ticket way back in Feb, so you could say that we are gamblers! I payed a little extra for a ticket that could be adjusted whenever I please so that way the ticket price would stay the same. Good luck for your upcoming interview and be sure to let us know how it goes! ?

Whoa! You ARE gamblers. LOL

for flying in, we're actually thinking about July 10th or so. Not entirely sure, but that's where we're aiming. That'd be a month from now. We won't book anything until AFTER tomorrow's interview, but still. It's a gamble to buy airline tickets that're about $1000 each. I know they tell you NOT to quit jobs or buy airline tickets, or sell anything, but we're making plans anyway.

I asked him to call me before he went into the embassy. that'll be about 2:30 am my time. he DID say he'll call me afterward, regardless. Abby, based on what you said Andre' is thinking about pulling with you, I asked Johan NOT to tease me or pretend it didn't go well. LOL He promised he wouldn't. I so love him. <3 The paperwork he's taking with him is 4" thick! lol I can't wait to hear all about it myself. :)

I can't believe we're at this point already too. Johan and I were talking today about how we were hoping he'd be here by NOVEMBER when we first filed back on February 1st. We were so hoping to have them here by the beginning of the new school year. It looks like that'll be happening. I hate to even say it, but I'm so glad we were processed through California. I feel so terrible for those who are sent to TSC (based on timelines from a few years ago, California was taking upwards of 8 months for NOA2's). I wish everyone had the same processing times. :(

I'll update ASAP, visa twin. ;)
