Finally is right! lol tap tap tap... "you don't mind if we just cut in line, do you?" I think Johan is a little stressed, but not having to wait too long (4 DAYS!) will give us just the right amount of time make sure our papers are all in line, but not overworry about everything and "what ifs." I can't wait to post an update. Needless to say, we'll be skyping a marathon this weekend to make sure all is in order.

On a side note: school finished today for the year, so now I can concentrate on wedding plans, closet cleaning to make room for 2 more household members, and getting ready for AOS. ;)

MichelleRenee, our CEAC updated yesterday. You'll be getting your letter SOON! :D

I'm starting to freak out (...starting hahaha) about the interview, particularly the chance of being denied on finances.

Those of you who have been approved, what did you provide with your I134? What did they ask for? Did they look at it right then and tell you if you had sufficient evidence?

As long as you're over the 125% it should be fine! Zack gave me 2 years of tax returns, 8 pay stubs and a letter from his employer stating how much he makes and the fact that he has a permanent job. :)

Seek an appropriate sponsor and the evidence should present itself (i.e. sufficiently over the 125% requirement). Anyone will do!

I had letter from bank and letter from employer, pay stubs and tax returns. The CO took only the letter from bank with the i134 and was not interested in anything further. This may be specific to London, and hence it may be different with your consulate.

Good luck!

So just a quick question with regards to finances...... the 125% requirement is about $20,000, correct? Noah makes $50,0000....just want to make sure we don't need a sponsor...

Also, he had the most difficult time getting a letter of employment from his current job..... he did eventually get a document which states his current salary, his fulltime permanent hours etch but it is not signed by a supervisor....... could this be a problem? we do have all his paystubs, tax returns, employment contract, bank statements and W2 .....

Thxxxxx in advance ?

Yes. 125% is about $19,600. Though for the k1 interview you just need to make 100% of the poverty line, not 125%---125% is needed for AOS affidavit.

I make $20-21k a year right now because I'm a phd candidate and only get a certain stipend because my tuition is waived (about 35k). I'm worried because we just make above the 125% cut, but I think it will do. No forms say you need more. If you're at 50k, there is seriously no problem.

2/3/14 I-129F Mailed

6/16/14 Embassy Interview--Approved!!!!

7/11/14 Marriage :)

7/25/14 AOS + Work Authorization Mailed to Chicago Lockbox

7/31/14 NOA1--Electronic Notification

8/26/14 Biometrics Appointment--Indianapolis

9/18/14 EAD approved--Electronic Notification

2/15/15 Notice of Interview Waiver (and Case Delay due to heavy processing load)

5/5/15 RFE (Requested another certified copy of marriage license)

5/14/15 Submitted Materials for RFE

5/28/15 Greencard Approved/In Production!!!!!

My love is selfish. I cannot breathe without you. - Keats

I can relate being nervous about finances. I have to cover a household of 3 and I'm only $3000 over the 125% number. I read that Montreal pretty much goes by the 125% since AOS has to be filed after marriage anyway. I know I am over but its not A LOT over to where I would feel much more confident. I am just a worrier. I am sure it will be fine :)

Good luck and I can't wait to hear how it goes!!

I've always wondered "what if you're only over by a little bit" but hey, they say over 125% so I'm assuming anything over, even if it was only a few hundred, would be considered okay. It would be unfair otherwise, right? "Well you're over the 125%, but not by much, so it doesn't count and you're denied!!" Haha. Actually, this whole process is a little unfair so I would't put it last them! I wouldn't worry if I were you though :)

LOL. I know, I have wondered that too! If the threshold is $19,600, is $19601 acceptable?

I really hope we get a nice CO. I really think their mood is a big factor :) haha
