Fingers crossed he is here by then! We are on a bit of a time crunch too, I would just like Rich to be here by the end of July. My lease is up at the end of August, and I want to be able to search for our new home together. I think even if he can be here for early July, we will wait a bit, because plane tickets have been so expensive!! We are wanting him to work as much as possible before he comes over. Does anyone have any good websites to check or tips for booking cheap flights? Right now they're all looking to be over $1,000 USD for one way, yikes!!

You're not joking... he began trying to get them back in early MARCH! thanks for the well wishes. :) now come on, Dublin, schedule that interview! :clock: Like some of you, we're on a time crunch. His lease, job license, car registration ALL expire in July. And naturally, I'd LOVE for him to be here for 4th of July. :)

Update: Johan's South African documents have FINALLY arrived in Ireland. NOW we can safely schedule his interview. Yay!

Visa is now with me.. I am so happy! It took 6 days after we got approved and 9 days after interview

Hi Michelle, try skyscanner :) Unfortunately tickets during summer are very expensive,but usually I book my tickets through this one.

Sta travel are also very cheap they specialise in student travel but there adult prices also work out a lot cheaper aswell!

Ugh seriously?

My fiance and I have been hoping the visa will arrive less than 7 days after the interview - if it does she can get time off properly and save us both $600!

Thanks, yes finally! No they just said when it was and that they mailed out the letter yesterday! So happy! Finally!

I also received a letter on Fri 30 May, and the interview is 05 June - this Thursday. I'm grateful for a quick interview but it would have been nicer to receive the letter a little earlier.

Interestingly my CEAC status has not been updated since 16 May, which proves people should not be using the CEAC date as any indication as to their interview.

Sadly i'm expecting a denial due to a police caution for a controlled substance and possible VWP misrepresentation, so its harder for us to join in on all the plans around here - wonderful though they are - for a new life in America.

Will post back here of course after Thursday. However it goes, i'm eternally grateful to this community for seeing us through a tricky process. All but done now, thanks to you guys.

Best of luck to everyone else nearing the end right now.

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!
