I also have a question about shipping your stuff to the US... what are people doing to relocate? liquidating? shipping items? giving stuff away? We've been debating back and forth how to handle this.

Andre and I talked about this a little bit. He already has some things here that he has left on previous visits. He is going to bring some clothes, shoes, video games, computer stuff, and who know whatever else will fit in 2 suitcases.

He is leaving his furniture, computer, tv, and bike with family members. Luckily he doesn't have a whole lot of stuff. He is basically starting over here. I already have all the bigger necessities anyway. It would be different if he had a lot of valuables, but luckily he just has the typical bachelor pad with not much to have to worry about.

dont know..there were People approved before me, but I dont know if they are in the states already..

Í´ve been shipping 4 boxes to the states with stuff I REALLY wanted to have there..like decoration from my grandma, pictures of my family, my fave cups, my hiking and running shoes, winter jackets and so on.. the boxes were round about 30 pounds each and cost me like 320$ in total..

luckily my lovely parents stored a few things for me that I´ll get later and all the rest is sold. and oh boy I had sooooo much stuff..

I recommend ebay and fleemarkets..also let your colleagues know you sell stuff if you have many (I have 70 colleagues)..they bought a lot of my stuff too

the rest (mostly clothes) goes in two suitcases with me on the plane..

i have a question my fiance will move to Nevada from Oklahoma, will that be a problem with my POE as I put in DS-160 that my POE will be at Oklahoma?

i have a question my fiance will move to Nevada from Oklahoma, will that be a problem with my POE as I put in DS-160 that my POE will be at Oklahoma?

This shouldn't be a problem at all. I don't think, anyway.

That's good to know! He's been looking into shipping companies, and was told you need a broker stateside?? I told him this morning he should just pop it in the mail. He did leave some stuff here when he was here in April: shoes, a jacket, etc. He wants to buy some stuff after he gets here (electronics), as the shipping is cheaper. I'll mention eBay to him. If it were me, I'd be craigslisting everything, but he has told me there isn't really a market for used stuff there? I can't even comprehend how that's possible.

Dont know what kind of stuff would he be selling but have a look at adverts.ie and donedeal.ie. I recently sold furniture and appliances from my apartment on those websites.

BTW how did the medical go for him and his son? Still no noa2 just want to be prepared in case I have to get some documents from Hungary for the medical

his medical went well, I think. He was able to pick up his results within a week. He also called after his appt and requested a copy of his immunizations, which they gave him, no problem. They also administered the ones he needed. Nothing out of the ordinary for his son, either. He mailed out his readiness form just yesterday, so I'll keep you posted on the turn around time for his interview. I have also updated the Irish embassy info with what they sent him in his packet 3; it seemed outdated. one more thing: although he doesn't think he'll need it, he got a signed permission letter from his son's mother stating that she gives her consent for her son to relocated to the US. We are ready to roll, people! Now we just need the interview date!

Make sure you notify the appropriate immigration authorities (USCIS) of the move. I read somewhere on here that if you move, you have to let them know of your new address or you will run into issues. Every time you move (non-US citizen), you have to let them know within 10 days of moving.

If you fail to provide the information, you will be subject to a fine and/or jail time for up to 30 days ... and in some cases, deportation (though unlikely).

Ok, so does anyone know what would keep the Consulate from scheduling an interview if they've had everything they needed including medical results for weeks!? Ben just got an email response saying they haven't even scheduled it yet!!! I don't understand why some people get their interview scheduled as soon as the medical results come in and ours have been in and nothing! I feel helpless seeing READY on ceac (plus seeing it update like 5 times) and my fiancé and I can't do a thing about it! I have been a mess! I was hoping he could be here no later than June 20th but that doesn't look like it is going to happen! It makes me not even want to go to my cousins wedding without him! Sorry for the rant, but I just don't know how much more of this I can take before I'm going to be put in a nut house! Haha!

You can add us to the list of interviews too please! Received the letter today with an interview date of June 12! ?

Can you add Jake and Me to this too? We got our e-mail from the Embassy today (persistence does persevere!) and our interview is June 16th!

That said, does anyone (particularly from the UK Embassy) know where one adds the name of the partner attending the interview for "clearance" into the embassy?

This confuses me too. Jake got the same initial email as you guys did, but he replied to LondonInfoUnit as Sail0r did, and he got a response a few days later (bank holiday slowed things up) with the interview date.

That said, when he wrote back he said: "Thank you for your reply. I kindly ask that if possible I be given my interview date by email so I may make travel arrangements as soon as possible. I need my interview date for the K1 visa, case #...... etc etc" and his medical was after yours.

Did they tell Ben, in fact, that all paperwork was received?
