No I thought of that, which is why Jake (the beneficiary) emailed them. I never contacted them myself. Maybe it's that we e-mailed them too soon--as soon as CEAC updated? They said they've received all forms and medical results, but that we need to wait for our letter. Perhaps they haven't scheduled our interview yet. It looks like most people received their letters 8 - 12 *working* days after the medical itself. Jake is terrified he will get in trouble for e-mailing them once more, but we said we would just wait the two weeks and try again if we didn't get our letter. Let's just hope they take some pity and give that date to us!

Well Ben had his medical two weeks ago and CEAC updated the 14th and the 15th, (plus I got the same email response on the 14th about having everything) so I would think that they have set a date already! And when I called them they told there was NO WAY they could tell me when it was, and that the only way to find out was to wait for the letter, which is BS obviously! Plus knowing that they sometimes send them out late really scares me!!! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed Ben gets a better response then I did!

Had my Interview last May 20 and saw online that my visa was already issued. I am just waiting for my passport now. I personally like to thank all the February filers who gave me encourement with my journey especially to CJBryan and to Colleon.

here are the questions asked by the consul :

1. When did you meet your fiance?

2. How do you correspond to each other?

3. How many months you talked before the first meeting?

4. What does he do?

5. Is he divorced? When?

6. Does he have any kids? Age and names?

7. What are his hobbies?

8. Do you talk to his youngest daughter? How's your relationship with her?

9. Is he the son of the petitioner?

she asked me for the proof of relationship but she didn't touched it, not even a single page.. I only submitted w2 and 2 months pay stubs which made me a little anxious since all of the fiance visa applicant have their form 1040 as their attachment for the I-134 but the consul see no problem about it.

You have nothing to worry about if you know your fiance very well..

Goodluck to all of you and May the force be with us!

What has everyone been up to outside of visa-based things whilst waiting? My fiance's all moved into our new apartment now... and we're thinking of getting a kitten! :) Also sorting out marriage plans...

Aww you should get a kitten! Thats so cute...I wish my landlord allowed pets :(

Anyway, we have been working on wedding plans too. I am going wedding dress shopping tomorrow which is very exciting!!! Reality has sort of hit me lately and I had my mini freak out moment with the whole cold feet thing but I am better now lol. I have been married once before and it is a very happy yet scary thing commiting yourself to another person forever.

My daughter just finished Kindergarten last week so I now have a 1st grader :( I don't want my baby to grow up, but I am excited that I will be able to spend more time with her over summer break to keep my mind of of the visa stuff and if all goes well, Andre will be moving here 3 weeks before she goes back to school so definitely looking forward to that!

Mostly, just working and the usual routine stuff though. The time is flying by so I'm savoring my independentness of being able to do what I want when I want to do it LOL

For me, counting down until the end of the school year. Eight school days left, thank GOD! We've also been working on wedding plans, and wedding budgets, and figuring out how to get his family here from South Africa for the ceremony (Oct 11th). There's been lots of skyping and "whatsapp"-ing between us all, and hopefully we'll have enough $ to get everything accomplished. I can't wait for summer. I'm really hoping for a POE date of beginning-mid July, but more realistically, it'll be end of July. :(

Good to know I am not the only one who has been going through the cold feet thing! I too have previously been married and was not expecting to fall in love again so soon (Separated from ex for 2 years). As you said I am very happy but scared to death to do it all over again. But everything happens for a reason right?

Hopefully good news with the visa (still in administrative processing with the embassy 12 days now) this week will help with the cold feet.

Enjoy all the wedding planning everyone! Sounds like everyone is off to a good start for their summers.

I have asked Johan several times if he's sure he is willing to move to another country. He assures me that yes, he is. :) I think it'll feel way more real when he's got his visa in hand. This is a second marriage for both of us too, so we know what to expect, but it's still scary. (((hugs))) to all of us! :D

Could not agree more! I ask Uri several times if he is sure and why he wants to go. He now answers with for the green card. He said if I am going to ask a stupid question he will give me a stupid answer :D.

Very scary for sure! I think when we have the visa and on the plane reality will kick in.

Keep your head up everyone we are SO close to our happily ever after!

Yes, but I think cold feet is normal LOL It just means we are smart and thinking through all possibilities.

I like the moving here for the green card comment LOL...Andre says the same thing haha. He has his medical this week and then the interview is 2 weeks after that..AHH!

On a side note...I said YES to the dress today!!!! It is completely not what I expected to buy, but I love it and it made my sister and best friend cry so I hope it does the same thing to my groom :) It has a train and I didn't expect to have one since we're having a beach wedding but it is gorgeous! I am excited to be marrying that man! YAY!
