Both me and my USC fiancé have rang the NVC chasing an interview date - they claim they do not have this info and only the Consulate would know.

I have a London number for the Consulate but it is information/recorded message only. There is a visa appointments line but it is for NIVs only.

So basically, yes, the only way is to email.

I've sent a couple over the past few weeks (unrelated to interview) and always had a response within a few days.

Thank you for that, saves the phone bill a bit...

Still waiting for a reply - though CEAC shows the case status was updated AGAIN today, so I'm really optimistic now. It changed on Monday already - which was when Knightsbridge said the results will get to the Embassy - so I assume that was that - and if it's updated today then that was almost certainly to assign me an interview date. Just need to know what that date is...

It can be anywhere between 2 and 6 weeks, so if you have just had your medical then its very unlikely to be this soon, although not impossible.

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

Email them again! Especially if the case got updated again. :)

I just checked my email and I have an interview date! 5th June - which is exactly 3 weeks from now. The response you got seems to be one they'd send out just before actually getting the interview date. Keep trying!! :D

Congrats  !! saw your timeline, your case is very fast, i got my NOA1 on 2/7/14 and so far no news at all, also is with Texas Center. I really hope we can get ours by end of June. When you call to schedule an interview, how long is the wait time? is it more than a month?

I'm sure it won't be long... once you get NOA2 everything happens in a breeze. :)

You don't actually call up to arrange an interview - you fill in a form declaring that you're ready for one to be scheduled for you (after you have done your medical and the visa application form (DS-160). Then you just work around whatever date they give you! It's supposed to be approximately one month after they send the letter out, but mine was a bit earlier (I think because I mentioned I wanted to fly out mid-June...).

He put July 1st on his (I realize we're not going through the UK, but I think it'll still make a difference!). no interview date yet, but I'm hoping to have one by the end of May (know the date, not actually have gone through the interview by then). We found out today that Johan's south african documents that he applied to receive over TWO months ago, are being mailed out this week. THEN he can turn in his readiness form. :)

german embassy told me the visa should arrive between 7 and 10 days..I freaked out for a day or two  cause my case status said "administrative processing" and I read horrible things about this, but after two days it turned to "issued" and I had my visa in hand 4 days after the interview.

I think 7-10 days after the interview is the average time for every embassy if they have all the required documents and if the interview went well..

I'd be tempted to advise against sending multiple emails in short spaces of time. This only serves to increase the volume of correspondence the Embassy have to deal with and almost certainly slows down their ability to get on with actual case processing. The knock-on effect is probably unfair on everyone else.

If you have an answer from them regarding your interview, whether you like the answer or not, I would recommend leaving it for another week before contacting them again.

We can still be thorough whilst letting these guys do their jobs!

Just a thought.
