I was wondering about NVC knowing our interview dates too....

Loving all the English teacher and Keats love! I'm getting my PhD in English (my specialty is British lit, 1630s-1830s; I write about Keats!) and I teach English at my university, so I'm one of you!! Keats's letters are truly amazing...some better than his poetry.

I feel like this visa process is a test of our attempts to maintain negative capability...existing in uncertainty and finding some beauty and poetry in it despite discomfort and pain....

I don't know about that but I will be calling NVC on Monday since that is a bank holiday here and the Consulate will be closed. I don't want to wait til Tuesday to know the date.

Maybe the NVC will be helpful, maybe they won't, but i'm going to try.

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

Soooooo, this wild adventure turns out to be even more amusing!

It turns out the service centre accidentally sent our file to NVC and then on to the London embassy! ( that's why I didn't get any noa2 email, noticiation, letter, online case update ect ect ect) we didn't even get approved! We finally got a letter today stating that we didn't get approved, it was still pending, it was accidentally sent to the NVC and forwarded on. But due to the inconvience they'll approve us today! Lucky, lucky me ;)

CEAC case updated online as well, so hopefully we should be receiving an interview letter soon! :)

16 January 2014: I-129F Application sent!

3rd February 2014: NOA1

10th February 2014: NOA1 Hardcopy received

12th March 2014: File sent to NVC (without approval)

28th March 2014: Received in London

I think It was more of a well we'll have to approve it considering you've already had your medical and you have an interview coming up :') To be fair, I'm not angry about it, I understand they have so many applications and it's just a human error! I think it actually speeded up my process! :)

Yeah! My NOA2 is 5th of May, I doubt it will cause any problems but I made them sent a transcript of what exactly happened instead of their usual standard office reply mumbo jumbo! I questioned zack as to if he'd broken into the USCIS building and mailed it off himself, unfortunately I don't think he's stealthy enough :')

that's insane! I'm glad it's working in your favor. It would suck if they'd decided to send it back for "approval." Keep us updated. :)

Also wanted to add that I still think you were on to something when you speculated that maybe it was processed while their system was down back in March.

Hmmm do you see any other feb filers on VJ's timeline at CSC who are waiting? I'm sure there are some--I know, too, that once you get an adjudicator....that's your fate. I always wonder--what if said adjudicator goes on medical or maternity leave or vacation? If it's still within 5 months, does the adjudicator's stuff not get forwarded to another? I wish they made the process more transparent so we could at least know HOW people get randomly given their approvals or RFEs before others...wishing the best for you!

I do have a question for UK filers, though: how long after dhl tracking showed your case had been received did your CEAC status move from "In Transit" to either "Received" (does it move to that?) or "Ready"? Thanks!

Thanks! Was it moved to "Received" or to "Ready"? Technically our case got in on Saturday, but the consulate was closed and Monday was a bank holiday here, so just today DHL said it was officially signed for by the mysterious Daniel :) Just hoping the status changes to "ready" within a week or so, since Jake's medical is a week from this upcoming Monday!
