I guess I am just concerned that he has only been at this job for a short time.....i am hoping that we don't need a co-sponsor..

Ps congrats on your case taking the next positive step!!!!

Just in case (though probably not useful ... maybe so) I would take several pay stubs from the new job and bring them to the interview

we also received the same , "Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F and for our I 130. I have read many ideas as to what it means, but nothing official.

I will share as soon as i find true info! God Bless every family!!!!

Thanks. I also haven't found out what it means officially, but like you said, read bits n pieces. As far as the process is concerned, it's just that they have assigned the beneficiary an official number. That's all. :)

Wish you and everyone here all the best in their journey. :D

K :)

From what i read on the forums, it means that your file has been touched. If you previously had an alien Registration number, then that number has been changed. If you never had one, then one was assigned to you (thus it was changed from nothing to an actual number).

You can arrange the medical interview without the police certificate?! I've been sitting around waiting for the certificate! Goodness - going to arrange that tomorrow, now. I ordered it on 15th April.

It took three weeks?! Everyone else on here and on the site itself said it takes 10 days...my fiance is supposed to mail it out tomorrow, and our medical is on May 19th. We were expecting it to take 10 business days? Should I have him expedite it?

Edit: Forget it! I Just told him to expedite it--it's much cheaper to pay 35 extra pounds for an expedited police certificate than it is to have to book another trip to London for a rescheduled medical. We booked his medical on the 19th because he was already going to be in London that day....

My police certificate took 3 weeks also. It was a tricky call but I booked my medical without actually having it in hand. I called ACRO and spoke to a friendly person who gave me an expected date of delivery. I would advise doing that so you know whether you'll have it in hand or not. Pointless going for the medical if you don't have it.

Birth certificate copy took a month.

I surprised her with a proposal in Los Angeles, and this is how it went down!

Thanks for the info! Luckily, Jake already has a certified birth certificate copy, and he's sending out his police form today and paying for premium services, which take only two working days to complete, and he's sending it so as to guarantee a Saturday 9 a.m. delivery/Monday business day processing. If my generous math is right, that's Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday--with a Friday mail out (estimating three working days in case they're slower, though if I'm paying for premium service, it better be TWO! :) )

That leaves a whole week to receive it by mail in time.....

We will still call on Monday once we know they've received it to make sure, though, just to check that it will be delivered in time. Thanks for the advice on that end :)

The medical examiner needs to know of any crimes that are induced by drugs or alcohol (as then they'd need to do a drugs test) so they need the police report to check for that. I know that it's definitely needed for London, not sure about anywhere else :)

As far as I know it just has to be an original that's been issued by the government to you (Rather than photocopied). I'm bringing my original, handwritten long-form one (my parents happened to have it in a drawer in their house, conveniently enough...), though you can request an official copy.

Expedited! Good idea. And just as I was worrying about my own police certificate - it turns up! Going to book my medical now...
