Hey everyone! Looks like things are starting to speed up, huh?

Does anyone know if the affidavit of support requires (an original copy of) the original birth certificate? As in - does my fiance's co-sponsor have to request an official copy of the birth certificate from the US Government to send me for my interview, or can she just photocopy it and send that? The official guidance is a bit vague...

According to nich-nick, queen of London guides, the London embassy only requires an original or certified version of the UK beneficiary's certificate. Bring your official version + a copy of it. A copy of your USC's will do.

What does DHL say when you search the waybill # ?

It seems like it should be there by now since they send them express....and its been 7 days right?

Edit: Im a dork, duh its been 7 days LOL...but 5 business days. It should be there VERY soon. I'm tracking mine like a hawk haha. Out for delivery today!

We got our case number from the NVC! I called last week. Still haven't received anything in the mail though and CEAC says "in transit" still even though it's been delivered (I tracked it on dhl) My fiancé scheduled his medical today for next Friday! Hopefully by then the Consulate will have everything together and all we'll have to do is fill out the DS -160 and the readiness form! :)

Thats great! So now you're just waiting for them to do their thing and make it "ready." In Ireland, do they send out an actual paper Packet 3 or an email one? If they email it, you would be able to have Johan fill it out right away correct?

They send out an actual snail mail letter. HE should have it by Friday, if all goes well. His medical is now the 21st. He'd made it for the 7th, but then needed to change it due to a scheduling conflict. He doesn't want to fill in the DS-160 until he's closer to the medical, but he will also need to reply with a notice of readiness so he can get his interview scheduled. Typically, those are about 3 weeks after he lets them know he's ready.

so I am preparing the p3 package with copy of the checklist, with the ds160 confirmation page and biographic page of my passport.

Are there other documents that need to be sent along with those forms? I saw on another forum a list of other documents to be sent...ds260 and ds156...also it said to mail the package via DHL not email..... kinda confused now!!!!

as well....I want to confirm the email address to send it to "montreal-iv-dv@state.gov"

You can go here: http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking.html

You will enter the date in this format EXP __ APR 2014A. The underlined area is where you will put the day before your case left NVC. If it went IN Transit today (29th), you will use the 28th ex. EXP 28 APR 2014A. Then you will be able to get the Waybill # and track it.

From what I understand, Montreal recently went to an all email system and no longer sends an actual Packet 3 or 4 in the mail. I could be wrong though. I am only going by what I have read from others experiences. Some of the forms are also no longer needed. Several forms were replaced by the DS160 combining them into 1 form.

I copied and pasted this from the Packet 3:YOU NEED TO SEND THE ABOVE DOCUMENTS BY E-MAIL TO MONTREAL-IV-DV@STATE.GOV

I would only send what the Packet 3 letter says to send. Hope this helps

Edit: Only send these 3 items by email:

If you are a K-1 Fiancé(e) applicant or a derivative of a K-1 Fiancé(e) applicant,

you must send us the following documents by e-mail:

1. Confirmation receipt with barcode number from the completed Form DS-160. The

system will automatically generate the confirmation receipt after you submit the

form. The form is available online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ –SEND COPY OF THE

CONFIRMATION RECEIPT ONLY BY E-MAIL. DO NOT SEND THE ENTIRE APPLICATION.

2. Scanned copy of the below “Packet 3 checklist for K-1 Fiancé(e) visa applicants” –

ONE PAGE PER FAMILY IS SUFFICIENT

3. Color-scanned copy of the biographic data page of the applicant’s passport
