I'm headed to Ireland once the school year ends (I'm a teacher) for what I'm calling "the purge and pack." ;) The way I see it, it'll be a "tough love intervention." But don't tell him I said that. He saw my closet this past week and asked, "where are MY clothes going to go?!"

hahaha..I wont tell him :)

Erics closet is tiny..I dont know how my stuff is supposed to fit in there..darn it..and I´m actually selling 85% of my stuff.

at least I´m trying to :) all of the sudden time is running and I´ve got more work to do than I can handle :)

So we are getting the documents together for the P3 packet..... I am currently in LA and flying back to Toronto in a cpl weeks but am wondering...i want to send back the p3 packet, but since I am not in Toronto I am unable to get the police check yet .....does anyone think it makes a difference if I send in the packet this week and wait till I am back in Toronto to do the police check? the check should take about 2weeks and I assume that I wont have my interview till June

I am wanting to get the packet in soon so that I can return to Toronto to do my physical and interview

can you order it online? IDK anything about Toronto and how they work, but I wonder if you can request a certain date for interview in Montreal? I cannot believe how fast this is all going now! Another thing to consider is the amount of time it'll take to mail back internationally. I assume you mean that you will snail mail it, not email it?

I sent all my I-134 documents back with Johan when he went home to Ireland the other day, and I signed it dated May 15th. So now he doesn't want to even do the DS-160 until that date! :) What a crazy time this is.

My fiance is in Toronto as well. He ordered his police check almost 3 weeks ago online and they have just notified him that it is ready for pickup. I think you would be fine to go ahead and email Packet 3 and still have time to get the police check before the interview. It seems interviews are taking anywhere from 4-8 weeks at Montreal after receiving Packet 4.

lol. Trust me ...i understand....I am still trying to figure out Long Beach/LA area.... North York is a part of Toronto and Richmond Hill is a suburb of Toronto

My concern is that maybe the embassy looks at the date of the police check.... and has an issue with the fact that the date the p3 was emailed in is different than the date of the check.

Robynne, I honestly don't think that'll be an issue. You have ample time to get your police cert once you return to Canada and before your interview. If you are worried about it, you might want to ask in the forums how people who don't currently live in Canada are getting copies of their police certs. Johan is a native South African, so he has had to go through a process to get that police cert without actually going to South Africa. His Irish one was easy; just went to the garda, and boom. ordered. But there are many many people on these forums who need to get police certs from countries they aren't currently in, so there has got to be a way to begin the process before you return home. Either way, you have time. :) But not too much!!! lol You'll be back in sunny California in no time. :D

Sidenote: I'm just a few hours up the road from you. I live in Santa Barbara county.

I agree...send that puppy in girl!!!! :)

I think the checklist is just what you plan to bring to the interview with you (everything that pertains to you) and not want you actually have on hand before you send the checklist. Even if it does take a couple weeks to get it, you will still be fine! :)

Also, If our case doesn't leave NVC this week, I think I may pull my hair out LOL. Cross your fingers for me :)
