Haha thank you!! I was kind of feeling like we had been forgotten as well. I was in the mindset of "it'll happen when it happens and it's probably going to take longer than I like," but then I forced myself to be positive, even joking with Rich that we would be on the "Last 15 Approved at CSC List" this week. The notifications really do come in late. I checked USCIS well after the offices had closed and it still said Initial Review. But right at 11:30 CST, I got a text followed by an email. Shot out of bed like it was on fire!!! I was almost weary to post about the approval because I know how I felt every morning seeing other people get approved.. but there is hope everyone.

Congratulations! I was hoping you guys would get approved soon as like you said it did seem like you'd been forgotten about. It's a good feeling to be approved huh!

I wish we could request to change service centers.. ugh!

I'm pretty sure that having a Nexus card doesn't matter; My mother has her PR, my fiance works in law enforcement, and I lived in the US on multiple work permits.. you would think that it would help!

Also, does anyone know why it takes so long for your EA to be approved? It is showing that it takes 3 months??

I guess right now it has nothing to do with us or our backgrounds, but with the fact that they're overloaded, and just haven't even looked at our files yet. All we can do is stay patient, keep ourselves occupied, and make the most of our time in Canada.

The key word is patient, haha.

Yay! :)

They told us the date they received our case when we called. If you want to find that out on your own though, here's how to :) :

LLLNNNNNNNNNN

three letters indicating the Embassy

four digit number indicating the year

three digit number indicating the day your case was received + 500 ( e.g. 599 = 500 + 99 (the 99th day of the year 2014 was April 9th) )

last three digits indicating the case that was processed that day (for this Embassy)

And here's how to track your case via DHL once the status says "in Transit":

go to dhl.com > Express > Tracking > Track by Shipper's Reference

There's four things to fill out:

Shipper's Reference: EXP NN LLL NNNNA (EXP in the beginning and A in the end always stay the same, two digits indicating the day, three letters indicating the month (e.g. APR for April) and four digits indicating the year your case was shipped) you might have to try out 2-3 days if you're not sure what day they shipped your case

Date range for shipment - From: should be the day before NN

Date range for shipment - To: should be the day after NN

Shipment Destination: beneficiary's country

I hope this will help everyone here :)

Congrats to everyone who got approved recently and good luck to anyone still waiting for NOA2, I'm sure it won't take much longer! :)

That's incredible! thanks for the info! :) So, April 18th it was then. :) 10 days after NOA2.

This sucks. Why the hell is mine taking so long? I had talked to my congressman (about something completely diffrent that was coming up for vote) after we were done talking he said anything else, so I said "yeah, fix this immigration issue, its crazy that they expect people to be away from their loved ones for up to a year". Needless to say he said he'd check into it for me ( I thought yeah right as soon as I leave it'll be forgotten). Well I got a letter from him a few days ago it said nothing except I'm still within the 5 months (like I expected) and he will contact me as more becomes available. Reading the paper they sent I have a NOA 1 date of Feb 11, but the paper they sent said feb 13. I wonder if the 2 day difference is how long it took for CSC to get it. Idk all I know is. This blind waiting sucks, it sucks more when you see ppl who sent theirs after you getting approved.

Are you also CSC then?

From your dates, it looks like all of my days line up one day ahead of yours--and I definitely know it sucks (even if we are happy for everyone getting their stuff!) to watch people who sent them in after, but I do genuinely think it just depends on the adjudicator.

Hey, with any luck, you have mine and within the next few days you'll get your notification too :)i

Congrats on everyone who's finally getting their NOA2s!

I just called up NVC and they got our case number yesterday. But THEY GOT MY NAME WRONG (I'm the beneficiary)! My 'first name' is actually my 'middle name' on the petition - so if my name was Bob Steve Smith, I'm listed as Steve Smith, which caused some confusion with the poor woman at the NVC. I asked if it could affect the visa application and she said no, because I will have my passport - and my middle name is listed on the passport anyway (plus birth certificate). Just caused a moment of utter panic for me - I wonder if we just filled in the I-129F incorrectly?

Ugh! At least it should be fine anyway...

Hi Everyone! Been following this thread and it seems like most of you who complained here about the long wait for NOA2 approval got approved the next day. So here I am wishing we get approve this week.... This waiting for Noa2 is stressing me out! The receipt number before and after ours were already approved. I wonder what happened to our file. Our NOA1 Feb20.

That definitely does seem to be the case. I had a really terrible week and had just given up hope and thought our file was at the bottom of the pile and then it unexpectedly got approved that night. There really is no rhyme or reason. As far as VJ February filers go (which can be very hard to go by because some information can be wrong, and obviously it doesn't account for all of the February petitions at USICS), it seems like there is around 25 cases to still be approved. Some got NOA1 in the beginning of February, some got it at the end, so I don't think you have been left behind just yet.
