Aloha and Bula!

I am still putting together the K-1 submission. Seems that the supporting documentation is really important and there can't be too much. So, I'm having family and friends send Congrats cards to copy and include, requesting letters of congrats from political people in Hawaii state, and what ever else I can run across. Doing that first before filing the I-129F submission.

Any feedback or opinions?

Many THanks Folks!

Yes. Make sure you send in photocopies of those. Also, include lots of pictures of the both of you. For instance, make a PowerPoint presentation and put a bunch of pictures and print out the slides. Another good idea is to include a "letter of intent to marry" or letter explaining your relationship. If you talk via Skype, Viber, Whatsapp, etc., include just a few pages with different dates of some conversations. Also include evidence that you've visited in the form of photos and copies of e-tickets / airline tickets. Then you can submit all of that together.

Aloha!

I've seen people ask this question in other threads and the experts/veterans of VJ say the same thing: that's all fine if you want to put it together, but what they really want to see is primary proof that you've met in person (i.e. bank statements showing you visited the country or your partner did, copies of passport entry stamps, copies of the actual plane tickets). They want some secondary proof (the most important of these being pictures of the two of you together in the past two years, but also, perhaps, phone or skype logs or letters/emails, and maybe relative cards). But from what I read in other threads, what others say about your relationship isn't as substantial proof as what you have collected together: photos, emails, passport stamps, dinners bought for each other in different countries.

Others on this thread are super helpful, so they'll tell you what they sent. I sent:

Primary Proof:

--Banking: Two ATM withdrawals (posted on my banking activity) from a cash machine time and location stamped as around the corner from my fiance's flat in Edinburgh this past summer; one credit card receipt (again posted on my online bank activity) showing I bought a room for two in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, England, this past November; and then one credit card receipt from my fiance showing he bought us dinner in Berwick-Upon-Tweed the same day in November as the day I bought our rooms.

--Passport Entry Stamps for the summer and fall when I visited him

--Copies of my E-Ticket for my flights on British Airways

Secondary Proof:

--5 photos of us together, two from the summer, three from the fall, in places that were obviously Scotland and England (i.e. Glencoe, Scotland--a national and geographic marker, the castle on top of Kendal, England, etc--that's not so necessary, the landmark thing, but it helps :) ) --- as an extra, I included color copies of screenshots on Facebook showing the date I posted these photos, as well as the locations.

--Skype logs from June 2013 up until when we filed in Feb 2014. It didn't include our messages to each other, just evidence of the frequency of our phone conversations and the lengths. That was an exceedingly long piece of evidence as we talk for hours every day.

That seemed to work--no RFEs for us :)

That's it....along with the rest of the I-129F package, obviously! Don't forget those letters of intent signed and dated! :) Good luck!

CJBryan, we got our NOA2 on April 8th, and I called NVC today and got our number. :) CEAC says it's "AT NVC," but the guy I talked to said it's in "administrative processing." Is that normal? That worried me. Also, how do you find out WHEN NVC received it?

Yay! :)

They told us the date they received our case when we called. If you want to find that out on your own though, here's how to :) :

LLLNNNNNNNNNN

three letters indicating the Embassy

four digit number indicating the year

three digit number indicating the day your case was received + 500 ( e.g. 599 = 500 + 99 (the 99th day of the year 2014 was April 9th) )

last three digits indicating the case that was processed that day (for this Embassy)

And here's how to track your case via DHL once the status says "in Transit":

go to dhl.com > Express > Tracking > Track by Shipper's Reference

There's four things to fill out:

Shipper's Reference: EXP NN LLL NNNNA (EXP in the beginning and A in the end always stay the same, two digits indicating the day, three letters indicating the month (e.g. APR for April) and four digits indicating the year your case was shipped) you might have to try out 2-3 days if you're not sure what day they shipped your case

Date range for shipment - From: should be the day before NN

Date range for shipment - To: should be the day after NN

Shipment Destination: beneficiary's country

I hope this will help everyone here :)

Congrats to everyone who got approved recently and good luck to anyone still waiting for NOA2, I'm sure it won't take much longer! :)

I definitely agree that when PMA starts to decline it rolls in! So happy, we were thinking we were at the bottom of the feb file! Great way to start work after the long weekend :)

Good luck to you all!

Congratulations everyone on their NOA2s! I have been following the thread, but told myself I wasn't going to post yet, because I didn't want to increase anxiety levels with my impatience. But it's so good to see your efforts paying off, that I decided to join in.

Our NOA1 was on the 21st of Feb, so we just passed the 2 month mark. I was always expecting long processing times for it, but I am now a little bit hopeful that it won't take as long. Our case is at the Texas service center, so we'll see.

For now, daily Skype video calls have made this process bearable. I can't imagine how tough this would have been without the tools we have now. We even have each other's laptops / smart phones on our beds and sleep on camera. Skype has really been pivotal in our relationship. I'm sure most of us have very similar experiences.

Here's hoping lots more good news pours into this thread!

Well, it's been 2 weeks since we got NOA2!

We called up the NVC today and they said they had no record of the USCIS receipt number we gave them - does that just mean they haven't got it yet?

Also, it's a bit worrying they don't have it after 2 weeks, though I guess it was the Easter weekend just now so it's technically not 2 complete working weeks, yet... right?

Anyone else had a bit of a wait after NOA2?

This sucks. Why the hell is mine taking so long? I had talked to my congressman (about something completely diffrent that was coming up for vote) after we were done talking he said anything else, so I said "yeah, fix this immigration issue, its crazy that they expect people to be away from their loved ones for up to a year". Needless to say he said he'd check into it for me ( I thought yeah right as soon as I leave it'll be forgotten). Well I got a letter from him a few days ago it said nothing except I'm still within the 5 months (like I expected) and he will contact me as more becomes available. Reading the paper they sent I have a NOA 1 date of Feb 11, but the paper they sent said feb 13. I wonder if the 2 day difference is how long it took for CSC to get it. Idk all I know is. This blind waiting sucks, it sucks more when you see ppl who sent theirs after you getting approved.
