Just got NoA2!!! I129F APPROVED!!! Such a great feeling. I literally got off work at 6pm thinking there goes another day lost... as I was waiting for the train to go home I received the text telling me to check the website as my case status has been adjusted. This text came at around 7pm.

Super nervous checking the website as I thought it could be denied, but I lucked out and everything is approved! I'm super happy. CSC is cranking these February petitions out right now, so everyone else keep a lookout for those approvals.

Good luck everyone!

Now onto the next step :)

I called NVC and finally got the Case number and Invoice ID number! I asked if we can schedule our interview in US embassy in Manila and she said I have to wait for the embassy to get the documents from them and the Embassy will send a letter to the beneficiary. I asked if there is a way for me to find out if they already forward it to the consulate and she said I have to wait for NVC confirmation through postal mail. I've read that some members here already schedule their interview even if they have not received the letter from the consulate. Any comments or suggestions, especially from members who already done with this phase. Thank you.

Hello BB_27 how many days or week after your approval NVC give you your case number? Its our 9th day today we haven't try and call yet, they told my fiance to wait for 2 weeks before calling. Thank u. :)

Good morning! Johan is currently here visiting from Ireland, and it all went very smoothly for him and his son at the airport! I was super worried after reading a bunch of horror stories about people being turned away at the border after traveling for hours to get here. But they didn't ask him ONE question. The border patrol DID, however, chat up his 10-year-old son. IDK if he made a difference being here too or not.

Johan brought a stack of papers with him: a copy of his lease, a letter from his boss stating his vacation days and when he's expected back to work, a letter from me stating he's staying here on specific dates, a calendar from his son's school showing the days they're off for spring break. flight itinerary, copy of our NOA1 AND NOA2, etc. and he didn't have to show any of it. It was a bit anticlimactic, actually. LOL And I'm relieved about that. Next time he's flying into the US, it should be to live here. :)

one thing that maybe makes our case unique: he precleared in Toronto, Canada. He'd originally planned a stopover there, and the Canadian border patrol were jerks to him. Rude and accusatory. Perhaps because they passed him on through, the US did too. I don't know. What I do know is that, horror stories aside, you CAN travel here while your K1 is being processed. :)

Good luck! :)

Tina
