We got NOA2!!! We are so happy!! Keep an eye out guys cos it looks like they're getting more Feb done!

Yay!! Your positive thoughts paid off!!!

Definitely feeling the stress, my work continues to ask me if I have heard anything because they will need to fill my position and pay out my vacation - So frustrating to say that I really have no idea.

I'm starting to think that my easy-peasy case, is not so easy?

I don't think the reason it is taking so long is because of your case. TSC is just super swamped with petitions. Once your case gets to a desk, I'm sure you will be approved right away. I don't think it is fair at all that there is such a large difference between the service centers. I know if I wasn't at CSC, my petition would still be sitting in a box and waiting several more months. Maybe they will do another transfer from Texas to California like they did from Vermont to Texas & California not too long ago? This is still a stressful process even after NOA2. I have been trying to call NVC and it is busy every time! I have not been able to get through even once. I did email them so we will see if they respond. If not, I will just wait for the letter. Waiting, waiting, and more waiting. It will all soon end. We just have to keep remembering that :)

That's exactly what I keep thinking!! I'm just like.. what if they lost my file? What if it's at the bottom of a stack somewhere and won't get touched for months? I had been doing really well with staying positive but the more I see other people get approved (even March filers!!! WHY!?!?!) the more discouraged I get.. I just want him here by early August so he can help me find a new apartment for us.. So stressful!!!

It's not just TSC if it makes you feel any better. SO many people who received NOA1s at the same time or significantly after me (Feb 13th) have gone on to get either approvals or (more rarely) an RFE. It was two months to the date today, and nothing for me. I'm getting concerned not because of the timeline per se--we filed in time for our plans, so even an July approval (5 months) is OK--rather, I'm concerned that they lost my file or something is significantly "wrong" with it because so many people around my time frame are approved at CSC. :( stressful time indeed

You guys will be suprised when you get it! I was thinking the same way that my case must've been sitting at the bottom of a dusty box somewhere! I had given up checking the USCIS site too and then just as I was leaving work the email came through...which was at 10:45 pm In California btw so don't lose hope if you're not approved between 8-5!

You would think that if they were so backlogged all the time that maybe they would consider having an additional service center.

One minute I'm patient and the next minute I'm sitting online looking for loop holes to speed up the process that don't exist haha.

Keep us posted as to how long it takes for you to schedule your interview/medical and at what location - I'm curious how long it takes Canadians to complete everything after the petition is approved.

Glad to see so many more NOA2s since ours... it's been a good couple of weeks. Those still waiting - it can't be much longer!

Does anyone know what we'd actually say to the NVC once it's an appropriate time to call up and find out our case number? Do we give them our USCIS case number (from the I-129F)?

I will definitely keep you posted! My fiance plans to use Dr. Lyndon(sp?) in Toronto for the medical and the interview will be at the Montreal Consulate whenever that may be.

There is some awesome info about Montreal on VisaJourney if thats where your interview will be also. Here's a great link and also the reviews from the link at the top of the website are great too! : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/359761-montreal-consulate-picturesmaps/?p=5252525

I have been trying to call NVC starting today. It has only been 11 days from my approval though. I have read that they will need (Petitioner's name and DOB, Beneficiary's name and DOB & Receipt # from NOA1). They are open 8am to Midnight. The best times to call are 8am to 10am and 10pm to 12pm. I have not tried to call during these times since I am either at work or in bed :)

Has anyone gotten their number from NVC yet? Im so impatient, I want to start calling!

I called NVC and finally got the Case number and Invoice ID number! I asked if we can schedule our interview in US embassy in Manila and she said I have to wait for the embassy to get the documents from them and the Embassy will send a letter to the beneficiary. I asked if there is a way for me to find out if they already forward it to the consulate and she said I have to wait for NVC confirmation through postal mail. I've read that some members here already schedule their interview even if they have not received the letter from the consulate. Any comments or suggestions, especially from members who already done with this phase. Thank you.
