Also does anyone know about the fiancé letter of intent? You just make a new one (same thing) with a new date?

I think so. sorta like a "yep, STILL want to marry this person" with a date closer to the interview.

On a side note (and speaking of interviews), I emailed the Dublin embassy the other day about court documents being sufficient for bringing his son over without parental permission from his ex, and this is how they replied: "We cannot pre adjudicate an immigrant visa case, a decision as to whether documentation may be required from the his mother can only be made on the day of the interview at this embassy." What the heck is that about? Don't they follow laws about stuff like this? how can this be case-by-case? I guess we'll have to pre-emptively get a letter from his ex and call it good. :ranting:

From the K1 guide:

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).

2. Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance(e) to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).

3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

I see, Gosh he's going to be so grumpy again lol still lot of things to do, i told him to fill out his Affidavit of Support already :D on my DS160 theres a part there that says my possible entry would be june. I wish. But first we need my Case number.

is the only way to get your case # to call or to wait for the letter from the NVC? After tomorrow (when he is here for 2 weeks! woot!), we're on K1 hiatus until the end of his trip. I have all the I134 stuff together already plus a HUGE inch-thick document of "proof of ongoing relationship" to send back with him. I'll likely mail the new letter of intent once he has an interview scheduled. And also book a flight to be there, if it's after school is out for summer. :D

Hello Tina and Johan!

Would you be willing to share what you have put into your proof of ongoing relationship packet?

My fiance and I sent copies of our Facebook timeline (39 pages), selected Facebook conversations (40 pages) and phone records (40 pages) with our original packet, but when we get to the next stage and have to submit MORE

We cannot really mail letters back and forth because of the Cambodian postal system.

Anyway, congrats on the NOA2! :D

Anyone have any updates for February filers at TSC? I'm happy to hear that people are getting their NOA2's so quickly but it's frustrating to see people from March get their petitions approved already! At first I was just happy to know that we filed and just had to wait, but now I have been so anxious about it.

There are so many people who live abroad from their spouses and have to jump through more hoops (so I thought) than us, which is why I thought that our case would be so easy! My mother has her PR and I went down to work on a visa, met my fiance, went back to Canada and finished school, and obtained two additional visa's and shared an apartment with him and our two dogs. I was even able to transfer within my US based company to a location in Canada when I couldn't renew my work permit! Now that we finally decided to get married, we can't even plan things like a normal couple because we have no idea how long this process is going to take.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm sure you have all been in the same boat.

whohooo...had my interview-appointment in mail today..04/22/2014....aaaaah :)

I decided to do medical in frankfurt where no appointment was needed and now it was all going fairly quick (even though waiting 38 days for NOA2 felt like at least two years.I really feel for everyone that has to wait longer.I really do!).

I´m so happy..means I´ll be able to be with my baby in june if they approve it..yaaaay!!

I cant believe I´m part of these happy couples that have a very smooth visa-journey so far and I wish all of you the best of luck!! may the visa-gods be with us :D

Hello Tina and Johan!

Would you be willing to share what you have put into your proof of ongoing relationship packet?

Hi Megan. I didn't send too much in the original packet. Our embassy isn't high fraud, so there wasn't too much need to "frontload." This is what I've compiled for the interview, however...

"Timeline of our ongoing relationship

(Table of Contents)

  1. First interaction, via Interpals.net—(date inserted here for all categories)
  2. First email interaction, via gmail.com –
  3. Relationship moves to instant messaging, via Google hangouts. –
  4. Became Facebook friends –
    1. Later added each other to our Google+ circles
    2. Subsequent family and friends of each were added beginning in --.
  5. Began using “Whatsapp” (phone app) to text each other –
  6. Later added “Viber” and Skype for texting and talking (audio)
  7. First audio call via regular phone –
  8. First Skype call (video) –
  9. First card arrived via US Mail –
  10. First visit to meet in person –
  11. K1 visa petition sent to USCIS --
  12. K1 visa petition NOA1—
  13. Second in-person visit –
  14. Third in-person visit --"

Each section is tabbed, and there is a paragraph explaining the process of how we got to that point, plus screenshots, or excerpts, or copies of pics, envelopes for postmarks, etc. It was grueling work, and took about 3 weeks to gather it all. Now when he takes it back with him, he'll add some small samples from when we aren't together the next couple months. (at least I hope he will. lol)

Explanation paragraph looks something like this:

  1. I “friend requested” Johan on Facebook after he gave me his email address.

Before doing so, I had looked around his page, and saw pictures of him, his son, other family, and friends. When I made a comment on a public photo on a friend’s page, that friend sent me a friend request. Since Johan and I have become Facebook friends, we have acquired 7 mutual friends (so far) who are my friends and family and his friends and family.

Enclosed are screen shots of some of our photos, tags, posts on our walls."

Now that I've spent days putting all this together, they probably won't even look at it. I plan on giving an extensive review of the embassy process, since the Ireland info seems to be outdated.

yes my fiance did call NVC after two weeks and luckily they had just received it so I got my case #. after that everything went SO fast.

embassy received it a few days later, sent out pack 3 and a week after I sent back my documents I got the appointment.

It is the most stressful thing I have ever done before cause everything depends on what some strangers think about your relationship and if you filled in all the documents right and if you were able to collect everything that is needed.

I have´nt been sleeping properly for weeks now and I´m still stressed out because I know the visa can still be denied at the interview.

so if you feel the need to rant: I totally understand. cause most of my friends and family don´t understand what this is about. you people obviously do!
