Yeah it is! It's literally everything they already know all over again in one form! With my added promise that I've not participated in any acts of mass genocide or mafia activities :')

LOL, I read over a sample DS160 form just to see what the questions were and some were quite comical..but they have to ask those questions. I won't be the one filling it out since I'm the petitioner, but it was definitely interesting to see one.

Agreed.. It sucks I have to keep telling her it's been pushed back another month according to our timeline.. Thanks Texas !

Apparently, Texas get twice the amount of applications, you can see the statistics and details on dashboard.uscis.gov :) up until a short while ago they were taking minimum of 4 months to approve most cases!

It's hard not to complain, however, it is nice to see people being approved in less than the 5 month period. Just wish I was home in time for summer!

Hey guys, for those who got NOA2 already... how close was your actual date to the predicted date? Mine kept moving forward but in the past few weeks it has been going backwards.. It now says "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between March 28, 2014 and April 5, 2014*. If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing timesthen you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline."

I know it's only been two days past but I am sooo antsy!! When do you guys think I should call? I'm sure they'll just tell some generic answer about how the processing time is slow and how I need to wait 30 days and blah blah blah.

My timeline estimate is for March 24th-April 1st. :( So very frustrating!!! I think we actually aren't supposed to call until 5 months has passed, and I've also read here that really, they won't answer questions until it's been 6 months.

This is from a guy who is still waiting on his NOA2 from December group. :(

"I called USCIS today, and they told me the same old recording-like answer...

"sir, the normal processing time for I-129F petition is 5 months. If you have not received anymore update within 5 months, then you can call back and we can investigate your case".

Ahhh!! SO frustrating. I thought the entire processing time was 5 months, not just the NOA2 processing time! Have I interpreted it wrong? It's really sad that people from December and even before then haven't gotten NOA2, yet there are people who filed this year that have already gotten theirs. What is their thought process!!! Process them as they come in! It seems simple but I guess it's not.

It seems like lately the whole process, mailing to visa issued, is taking about 5 months, especially for people who are coming through countries that aren't red flagged. I really just want to have them here before school begins: mid August. (But WAY sooner would be more than fine too. ;) ) All weekend, I was really upset that it didn't come through during my estimated timeline, and I find it extremely frustrating that people who mailed out in MARCH are getting their approvals. But today, I'm more like, "meh. it'll happen when it happens." I don't know why the change, aside from knowing that there ARE people in high fraud countries who are still waiting for NOA2's or are in AP forever after their interviews. I feel blessed that we're going through Ireland. Once we get our NOA2, I'm pretty sure the process will speed up considerably. But (and this may seem bi-polar [smirk]) HURRY UP AND GIVE ME MY NOA2!!!!!

I'm all over the place too. My fiancé is getting discouraged but I'm forcing him to think positive!! I don't see why USCIS would make people wait the entire "normal" processing time before you can even call and get information on your case. I would love to peek inside their office and see what it's like. I'm picturing folders piled everywhere and mass chaos lol. I just don't get how it can be so unorganized. Luckily, our dates are not that far behind us, so there is still hope. Come on USCIS!! I just keep reminding myself that one day, I will look back on this and it will seem like such a distant memory and I will laugh..

I don't think you're supposed to call them before the 5 month mark (NOA1 to NOA2) :/

I wouldn't rely on the estimated dates on here too much. Mine seemed to change all the time and I just stopped paying attention to it. I think they change so much because CSC seems to process february filers in such a random order it's hard to predict anything. I know that it's so frustrating to wait on something that you have no control over at this point :( However, I wouldn't start worrying until about 2-3 months after NOA1.

I know you guys will get your approvals very soon! CSC was speeding through them last week, I'm sure it won't be long before you get yours :) I really do hope to see you guys post about your NOA2s soon!

Yeah, I know it's really early, it has been almost two months since NOA1 though. I was just curious to see how accurate VJ's date was for those who have gotten NOA2. Mine had been moving all over the place but randomly started going backwards! My fiancé wishes that VJ wouldn't even set up predictions lol too much false hope for him. I still have hope though!!

I'm trying not to get too excited - but it's hard! I'm not using the dates on my own timeline, because I don't think they're as accurate as the info on the right of this page, which says on average, they should be processing couples who got NOA1 on Feb 19th. It just so happens that Feb 19th WAS the day we got our NOA1s, so I can't help but feel overly confident about an NOA2 in the next few days... Goodness, I hope so.

As for the VJ estimated timeline, mine said Apr 16th to Apr 24th. My NOA1 was Feb 26th and NOA2 was April 4th. They are all over the place with Feb. Its like they started at the beginning, skipped to the end, and now the middle is still waiting. I don't know if they fact that my fiance is from Canada helped or that I worked MONTHS on the petition. I am a little OCD with my attention to detail LOL. At least we know they are working on Feb petitions! I know it will be ANY day now for you guys. I am SO excited for you all to get NOA2!!!!! :)

Edited to add: Just FYI...It was late at night when I received the NOA2 notice....definitely NOT during business hours. I had checked a million times that day just like the previous days and.....nothing....but it came later. So don't give up hope just because its not like 8-5. The alerts are probably computer generated and just come when they come. :)
