Yay lots of great things going on! Andre has been here exactly 30 days. We have been very busy getting everything ready for our October 11th wedding. We will file AOS as soon as we can afterwards. His I-94 expires Nov 21st so sometime before then, hopefully. :-) I am not looking forward to that, but I know Andre is ready to work. He did get his SSN and now we are working on putting his name on some my lease, utilities, and bank accounts so that he can have proof of address to get a Drivers License and we can be ready for the next steps of the immigration stuff. 22 days til wedding day! I will definitely post a picture :)

Congrats to everyone who is finally getting their NOA2s and finishing the process. It's about time! :)

Jake finally got his EAD approved--so he'll be able to start working within two weeks. <--that's a big deal, he really hated not working for a couple months as the AOS / EAD processed.

The AOS is taking a bit longer, though. We had biometrics but no interview scheduled yet....soon, we hope! But really the EAD is more important right now anyway ;)

GOOD LUCK everyone. AOS is so much easier a process because your loved one is safe and home with you.

That's fast!! Jakes and Johan's biometrics was the same day. He's also going nuts. ? our noa1 is about a week behind yours. I'm hopeful.

Now I have to read back through the threads to catch up on what's next etc.

We just got approved at the embassy! Flights booked and POE is October 22nd and wedding is October 30th! I'm soooo excited! :) Thanks to everyone on here for all your help, it really made things easier. Especially Tina and Johan, because we really knew what to expect for the interview from all you shared with us.

It says in your signature that you got all 6 case #'s in one text? I just got a text now and it only had one case number in it. I checked on USCIS and it was only for the EAD. Did this happen to anyone else that filed for AOS already? I'm assuming the others won't be far behind, just thought it was strange that they would open it and only notify us about one of them.

Lol! Ours came as six separate texts, and within about a 10-minute time span. Then Johan got all the emails on top of that. We were well informed!! Haha

Called NVC today and was told I have to wait 4 to 5 weeks before calling.. It has only been one week and he refused to look up our case to see if it had arrived..

Do I keep trying and hope for a rep in a better mood?

Definitely call again! We got our # about 10 days after NOA2. You have no reason to wait 4-5 weeks.
