Right, so I received my NOA1 from the Texas service center on February 25th and STILL haven't received anything about an NOA2. I see some of you received your NOA2 months ago who received their NOA1 in February and I'm starting to get very worried/frustrated. Could this perhaps be because our petition is at the Texas Service Center? I see a lot of you guys had your petition at different service centers and am SOOOOO jealous. It's not looking like my fiance will be here for a long time yet. :(

Yes. I feel your pain and its really frustrating....I see you are from Ireland too :)

Yeah, my fiance is. We've gone through the visa process before with a J-1, so it's not entirely unfamiliar territory. I see you got your NOA1 around the same time as us, so hopefully we'll both hear something soon. Is your petition at TSC, too?

It's the Texas service center. :( They are terribly slow. The good news is that once it leaves for Dublin, it goes much much quicker! Check out our timeline and you will see. For the time between packet 3 and 4, that was our delay. It zips by in Dublin! :)

We got married yesterday! We aren't telling people, but of course I have to share it here. :)

Thanks so much, I'm glad to hear things speed up in Dublin. The blackrock clinic actually allowed him to schedule his medical for August 13th and he's applied for the police cert and everything, so we're hoping that will help cut down on the time between packet 3 and 4. Did you guys put your marriage date in the near future on the Notice of Readiness from packet 3? I've heard that helps with getting an interview scheduled more promptly. And congrats on the marriage and best wishes!! :D

He just said that he didn't put a marriage date on his readiness form, but at the time, we also knew it was October 11 (our formal ceremony with family and friends). He sent the readiness form on May 27, got his interview date on Thursday the 5th, and his interview was that following Monday June 9th! His visa was in hand by Friday, June 13th. The reason he waited a few weeks to send in his readiness form is because he was waiting for his police certificate from South Africa, his native country. Black rock clinic and the Garda were very efficient and timely. :)

One more thing: blackrock have him his vaccinations copy when he called up and asked for it. You'll need that for AOS later. :)

I hope this glitch with the printing of visas with DOS doesn't take too long to fix!

I am so relieved and happy. Andre even called me crying he was so happy. Bless his heart. We both saw the change around the same time LOL

Good luck to the upcoming interviewees--and we are all still here watching and waiting for the TSC filers <3 you're in our thoughts and we hope you get to see your loved ones in the meantime....it should be soon now, though, it's within the five month time frame, no?
