We are MARRIED! We had so much fun and after the stress of the whole k1 process, a nice, tiny, courthouse wedding was perfect. Our pals Aaron and Pearl were out witnesses, and took some photos for us. This one is my favourite, despite it being the most blurry of the bunch. Thank you Tina! I have been staying really positive, but today when no date change or status change happened, it just made me sick to my stomach. I did go ahead and send them an email today and found the number to call the DOS. My luck, whoever was working on our case last week is on vacation this week and it will just sit there LOL. I just hope everything is OK with what I sent in. Hopefully the end is near :D

Hi, everyone! Hope all is going well! 11 days until our wedding and we are super excited!!! I do have a question though! Ben went to apply for his social security number today and they told him that everything should already be taken care of and he should have it before the 24th (3 weeks after he arrived) I found this a little weird because I've read everywhere that you have to apply for one...anyone else hear or go through anything like this?? Thanks in advance!

No change as yet....I am still awaiting some documents :-( but as I keep saying..... everything ll come thru in time ..... Noah was just here and we plan for him to fly out next month if we have are still no further along in this process..... I am positive we will both be approved!!!! Hopefully you will be next week and I will be a few weeks after ......

I want to know about this too, as we were going to apply this week for one! We also just got married--I'd attach a photo but it isn't working! Thanks for all the support :)

Thanks for checking in! :D I would be a lot less whiny if we would have visited during this process! It has been 5 months since we've seen each other face to face which is by far the LONGEST time we have ever gone. We thought we would be able to do it, but we both agree that it was a bad idea haha. Now the Consulate has his passport and its really hard for me to get off work and get away since I have a 6 year old. I am trying to save all my annual leave from work for wedding time. I am just trying to hang in there. I know there are couples who have been apart for a lot longer than we have and we are at the last step.

My advice to anyone deciding to do a K1 visa: Plan at least 1 visit during the process!! :)
