February 2014 filers

Hi ! My Fiance and I applied in early Feb 2014 and got our NOA1 on Feb 6th - Its now July 5th - and we havent heard anything since.

That is now the 5 month mark - has any one any advice? When we call what do they say and is it unusual that ours should take this long?

We applied at the Texas Service Center and he is coming from the UK.

I think there is a thread for calling USCIS, but in general if you're at the mark you can request to speak to a tier 2 officer and get some answers. If that doesn't work people call their local congressperson's office to look into the matter....

We keep hoping for you feb filers!! Jake made it through just fine---he said immigration took 30 mins!!! We are both so tired today though...my mom and I have been painting the new place jake and I are moving into soon.....and he's been 20+ hours with little sleep...visa "journey" indeed.

I want to make sure Ive done all that I was required as well - After receiving the NOA1 I wasnt supposed to take any action

Just wait for NOA2 - Right ? Alien registration # change was just internal and I didnt need to do anything for that, correct?

Received a letter from the NVC stating that they have forwarded our case to the embassy in New Delhi India (Bhutan uses New Delhi Embassy). Created a profile on ustraveldocs.com website and submitted the DS-160. Now we are waiting for a letter/email from the New Delhi embassy. In the meantime I was trying to figure out how to pay for the Visa application fee for my fiance to the New Delhi embassy. From reading the payment options it appears payment methods are only possible from within India or Druk bank in Bhutan. I guess its just another hurdle to keep me distracted :-).

Hope everyone had a good 4th. Just think.....we will all be with our partners next Independence day.

I am still impatiently waiting for our Issued status. I no longer even check because apparently Andre checks every 3 minutes so he can just keep me updated LOL. I hate checking it only to see Administrative Processing one more time. BLAH

Johan sold his car today. About two and a half weeks early, but he is off to England next week, for a week, so it shouldn't hinder him too badly. When he told me that he had sold it, I thought, " just got real!" Haha. The closer we get, the more anxious I become. I can't wait for him to be here!!

It's all happening!! Rich was going through his stuff on Skype with me last night. I wish I could fly over there to help him pack and bring him over! We haven't bought a ticket yet, prices kept going up and they luckily just went down a bit so I think he'll book it today. He hasn't decided whether he's going to tell me his arrival date or not!! He really wants to surprise me and just knock on the door like I'M HERE! Ahh!! I will let you guys know what happens!

Another awesome! I love skyping. Its sort of the closest we can get to being together. Although I would kill Andre if he did that just showing up thing to me! Thats just the kind of thing he would try to do. I hate surprises though!
