Hey guys... I got a text notice today saying that there was an update. It says they tried to mail me something but it was post marked undeliverable. No idea what it could be. I filed that request for expedite this week so maybe it's something to do with that? Anyways, hopefully I'll get it sent back and can find out what it is. I live right by the service center so I said I could just go pick it up and I got a big fat deny, hahaha.

Well guys, I just got a message from USCIS saying my expedite request was denied.

"Due to the extremely high volume of requests for expedite we are having to strictly enforce the criteria guidelines."

I guess losing your house and belongings in a flood doesn't count as severe financial loss to an individual.

I keep waiting for the US Government to surprise me in a positive way but so far they just keep disappointing.

Aw, I'm so sorry. That is ridiculous.

I hope some good news comes your way soon!

That's terrible!!! I don't think the government is capable of surprising people in a positive way to be honest ha. But don't lose hope! Hopefully putting in the expedite will cause someone to look at your case anyway and give you NOA2. This process is so unbalanced and unfair, I'm so sorry. I'm hoping you hear good news soon.

Wow, if that is not cause for an expedite, I don't even want to know what would have to happen to someone for them to get approved. I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. It is so unfair for the TSC folks. I just hate it! :-(

Congratulations everyone on getting approved - seems like almost everyone completed the K1 process at about the same time! jameswhunt - so sorry to hear all the trouble you're having!

Well - I'm typing this from our Michigan apartment, having settled in just fine - I've already been driving around and getting used to driving on the right! We got married just this last Tuesday and spent our honeymoon in Chicago - it was perfect! The next step is Adjustment of Status - and I've been procrastinating on getting that started because I've just been soaking up the USA :)

Immigration was no problem at all, the official just opened the envelope and went through my visa case before letting me in after 5 minutes.
