Is that what this music was? The article mentions nothing about the type of music being listened to. Why make that assumption? Don't see anything about windows shaking either.

Here is what I said-- Read it and tell me how I was assuming anything about the music being played that night. I is a personal pronoun . I means first hand. If I pull up in a vehicle!

"If a pull up to vehicle that is playing loud music so hard it makes my windows shake, and every other word is Bitc* suck F*word etc, yes I have a right to not be subjected to that as do the parents with kids around me, Not wanting to does not make one a cry baby, it makes them respectful of others."

Sadly your reading comprehension did not improve on your vacation or you are so eager to bust my chops you don't care.

Where is that covered?

Read my comments to penny.

C'mon Penny, they were black. What else would they be listening to?

Another liberal that can't read.

How is it wrong? They didn't break any laws, nor did they hurt anyone. This dude made it clear he hates rap, he could have easily parked next to a quieter car. Not to mention he was at the store to grab a few things and leave, not hang around for an extended amount of time.

I hate loud music of any kind. But this guy has a hang up with "that" culture, which is why he made the choices he did.

I agree with your assessment of the situation

However it is a violation in most places to play music so loud it disturbs others.

Okay, so to clarify... you put yourself in a hypothetical situation that does not reflect what actually happened in the story everyone HERE is talking about... and told us you'd react differently. That makes a whole boatload of sense.

I think when discussing what we would do, most of us are talking about what ACTUALLY happened in this story. Not in imaginaryland.

As I stated earlier:

Anyone in THIS EXACT SITUATION IN THE STORY WE ARE TALKING ABOUT who feels the need to call the cops because someone is playing music too loud at an establishment you're going to be at for about 5 minutes... is a cry baby.

You have a "system" in your vehicle? You just keep surprising me.

yup - it's a tricked out volvo 940 turbo wagon with extra gear.

it's nice.

Now who doesn't wanna hear Opera Blaring out of a Volvo Wagon? Ya, it's fun !

I tricked out a 960 sedan with pinkish/purple running lights under the chassis, torqued the motor, suspension and some other stuff, basically a tuned racer without an engine replacement. Sad to say, I got talked into selling that one to a krewe of female street racers in Plano. I keep getting instagrams on their encounters - I wish these young ladies would stop bugging me !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Absolutely. He would inconvenience me and in today's world, an inconvenience is a motive for murder.

If he parks next to you and pumps 130db into your space he most likely is in violation of the law.

The situation I described for me, is not hypothetical. Happens a fair amount

Great, so I can kill him.

 Of course it does.

And you haven't killed anyone yet? Amazing!!

sigh.

Nobody or at least not me has come anywhere close to saying that. I am saying the guy was way out of line, he knew when he walked up it would more than likely spur a confrontation.

No one deserves to be shot for playing the music too loud.

However I as a sometimes moral citizen should be able to pull up to a gas pump, without profanity so loud it rattles my car, while some 40 ig idiot is inside the store

Great, so I can kill him.

rofl.gif Of course it does.

And you haven't killed anyone yet? Amazing!!

No because to me it's not worth provoking a situation

Sure you should. But that has nothing to do with this story.

They say there are two sides to every story.... and typically that is the case, but in this case...... this senseless shooting sounds just as senseless when he tells it.

Yes that's the general idea, but should be the last resort. Just because you plan on using it doesnt mean you will.

Do you talk like this to people in real life or only on the internet?

Let's not beat around the fecking bush here, leaving the house is serious business, you have to anticipate everything that could go wrong. So a gun will save you if you're attacked by a mugger on crack, jump leads will get your car started again and a rope will help you get it out of a ditch.

But how are you going to protect yourself from a fall, lightning strike or alien invasion!?

It is kind of surprising given that he 'slips the safety back on his 9mm' when a black man passes him in the mall and doesn't mug him.

Yes, the need or desire to carry a firearm was pretty unheard of just a few decades ago.... so much so that many states had antiquated laws which allowed "open carry." (no license needed)

BUt this huge movement of average citizens arming themselves is an indication of where we are heading that people feel the "need."

Think about this in Fla alone 100,000 women now have a cc license.

Maybe that's the case in your country, it's not in mine.

Either things are getting more dangerous, or there's a greater level of fear. I don't think the television news helps with this - constantly over reporting crime to make people think it's more common than it actually is.

Your just wrong, crime is pretty common, if you live in some parts of town.

It's so common that we have cops patrolling middle schools and death counts exceeding war zones.

IF you want change the first step is to face the reality.

Thats what I am here for.
