On the I 129F form, at the top, there is an Alien number you are to fill in. It starts with A. Is that the A number in my passport above the barcode, or is it something else?

No it isn't your passport number.

It is your alien fiance's Alien Registration Number, which, if you're just starting to file now, he/she wont have. Just put "None" in there.

Thank you. I didn't think I had one. We left it blank for the I 130 and that was fine. Mel has a friend who works at the passport office in New Orleans. He was the one who thought this was something in my passport.

Are you filing for K-3? Your profile shows CR-1 The A# is assigned by USCIS to the beneficiary, it is not a number that is in the beneficiary's .

At this point it may be printed on your NOA1 or NOA2 from your I-130, above the beneficiary's name. If it is not there then write "NONE" there.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Our CR 1 is at a complete standstill. The I 824 form may take up to 6 months. We filed that to have our file sent to a US Consulate in Canada. If the K3 goes faster, we will go with it. I am waiting for Mel to phone me back to see if the number is on the approved I 130.
