That's weird - having lived in both New Jersey and Southern California, NJ beats CA hands down for worst roads, and worst drivers.

We had a guy honking at us this evening because we had to wait for an opening in traffic to turn left out of a residential street. I mean... cars coming from both directions... what do they expect you to do?

Sometimes I get annoyed if someone is trying to make a left turn onto a very busy road. Especially if they sit there for 10 minutes with their blinker on unable to go. At some point youjust have to give up and go right and make a U turn somewhere.

It was a one way street... And traffic was diverted because the two way road on the other side of the block was blocked off by emergency vehicles attending a 'situation'.

I've also noticed that people try to undercut you on single lane roads. Or they turn in front of you and stop traffic so that they can go through.

Alex, I'm definitely with ya on the WI drivers comment, and I am one! I can certainly believe MI being in the bottom 5 roads though...we live right near the border of MI so have driven the roads plenty, and they *are* #######...same with many areas of IL, as I used to live right near the IL border. You wonder where all the money goes that's supposed to be for fixing them! Always under construction, but never seem to get any better! M.
