Hi,

We filed for AOS which was received on 12/02/13 and sent to the national processing center. Shortly after we received a notice which provided a location/time/date to get my wife's bio-metrics completed which we did. Then a few weeks ago we were excited to see that our case status online was updated to "Testing and Interview" with a message saying the time it takes to schedule an interview depends on the application load of your local office. Today I wanted to see if I could get an estimate of how long it would take to get a notice sent for an interview date and called customer service. After talking with them the lady said that Denver is currently at 06/0813 for processing applications which is almost 6 months earlier from the date our AOS was received. I'm confused, does this mean we should expect to be waiting 6 months for an interview notice to be sent? I really want to get an estimate of how long it will take to get her green card so we can make some decisions on where to live in the meantime. Any input or answers would be greatly appreciated. - Hatrick.

Don't believe what they say, see my topic lower, our office's processing time is almost over and no day for interview given. They use it as excuse sometimes for those who waiting long, after they will relay on name checks not finished if to see posts of people who got that delay.

Don't worry first of all, you will get your day soon I hope!

Some USCIS offices are more backlogged than others and it takes longer to get an interview there.

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based main forum to Progress Reports sub-forum - topic is case status ~
