Hi VJ members,

I (K1 holder) submitted my AOS application at December 2. Unfortunately, I got 2 RFEs at January 2 and January 25, respectively. We resubmitted back our evidence next day when we got the RFEs.

Here is my question: I checked out my status on USCIS website today, and I found my EAD status is "Card Production". However, I checked my AP which is the most important to me because I want to go back to my home country in April, still show "Initial Review." I am worried I won't get my AP.

Does someone have any idea? Thanks :) Sorry for my poor English.

I have read of the AP status remaining unchanged, but when you receive the EAD it has the "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole" endorsement along the bottom. I guess you'll find out when you receive yours.

It is my understanding that the EAD and AP are issued as a "combo" card or 1 card is issued for both the AP and the EAD. So, I would be surprised if the AP is not listed on the EAD card.

Best of luck!

Thanks! It seems only thing I can do is waiting until I receive my card.

That's pretty normal. The AP status is often not updated. You'll get your card in a few days. Check to make sure it says "serves as I-512 advance parole"
