Really sad to say that we received an RFE today. Starting to compile MORE evidence, even though we were very thorough the first time around. So frustrating and I'm really bummed out about it.

What's the likelihood that we get an interview because we got an RFE?

its not necessary to get an interview because you got RFE but everything could happen and i guess if you sent enough evidences and proves then you won`t get interview.

I tried to submit an online request just now about my case. It is saying that my receipt number is not matching what is on file. Is the receipt number the application number starting in EAC? When I use that in the "Check my case status" tool on the USCIS site, it tells me "CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED". Why is it saying CR189? I used the EAC number on my Biometrics on the case status checker because the one on my NOA doesn't work.

I am so confused and frustrated.

EDIT...

Duh...I tried to submit a request again using the EAC number on my NOA. WHY I didn't think to do that in the first place is beyond me. It said to expect a reply by October 24th. Ugh. More waiting. Hopefully, I will get my card before then!

Rocha_2014 You are amazing!! Thank you so much! My deadline is not until Nov 12th, but I am about ready to send my response.

I fixed most of their comments and I also found more evidence that I was not aware of. I am using a lawyer this time though! She seemed optimistic about my case and we will go ahead and submit the response next week.

Hi Jojo86, Just to clarify I'm a March filler. I also received a RFE from VSC and just replied back this Monday 15th. Our RFE was exactly like yours. My wife didn't appear at first page top. I don't think we should worry about that. I'm saying this because people who gets approved don't see their spouse at the approval letter either.

Our RFE also shows each of the documents they received from us, what are the complains about we sent and then what types of evidence we should submit (basically the same suggestions listed on the instructions of the I-751).

I would suggest you to focus on the complains section. Make sure to provide them with additional documents that can prove that you and your spouse have been sharing the life together since you got married.

The last section (types of evidence we should submit) is mostly like a USCIS standard page with the purpose of providing you with additional information you could also submit which would help them while taking a decision on your case. When I first filled in march, I did send 3 different people affidavits and now it still appears at this section.

​Basically I would suggest you to focus primarily at their complains section and then submit everything else you didn't at the time you were filling (February) which examples are being presented at the types of evidence you should submit.

Oh man! I hope not! I changed address too, and I'm still to get approved. No RFE's yet...

Well, it took our newly born son's birth certificate to get the notification below for my wife's card. It is a hassle and I feel bad for all RFE folks because it is a weird feeling that some is questioning your relationship. Changing the address in my case really played a role (at least a small percentage) to receive a RFE as one of the initial document that I've sent was a lease contract including my wife as a cosigner with her name next to mine.

On October 9, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
