Congrats to all! Nothing here yet. In 2 days will mark 6 months since they received my application. Do you recommend that I call? Or do an e-request? What should I say exactly? Any advice?

Filed 2/10 Check cashed 2/13 I did most of the things on the list but was lazy about a lot of it, im not worried though If they want to give me a RFE I will give them a foot thick folder like I did

Filed in middle of Feb, until today the status is still showing initial review. It's over 6 months from the date that USCIS received my case, I am feeling like a pancake being fried in a pan. I hope this waiting could end ASAP with a nice result.

I called USCIS three times in the past week, since 8/18 is the date which counts the 6 month of my case. Two of the level 2 representatives told me the case is still under review in VSC, while the other one told me on 8/7 the case was transferred to my local USCIS office. I don't know which is more true, but nothing can do just have to wait.

Please add my case into the line, although every time when I see people filed after me was approved already a month earlier than me, get finger crossed.

Finally, got a letter today!! My case has been approved, date of decision 08/18/2014!! Now awaiting fro the new green card!

Thank you KASH2011! I've sent the docs on Feb 1st, USCIS received them on Feb 4th. The status online is still showing "initial review"

You forgot to update that I received an RFE!

Notice date: Aug 19th.

We sent bank statements from our checking and saving accounts over the period of when we got married to till the time we sent the application. They commented that there isn't enough transactions on those statements.

Amex credit cards - They commented that it's only under my name (she is an authorized user we both have been using the card but its not enough)

Chase credit cards that show that both cards have the same number with both of our names but didn't send statements because the statements didn't show who specifically made the purchases. They only show the transactions without showing who made those transactions, so I didn't bother to include transactions as they didn't show both of our names. They commented that because I didn't include the statements, it is not an evidence.

We included the lease agreements for the past 3 years with only the land-lord's signature and not us. They didn't accept them because we didn't sign the agreements. (Our signed agreements are with the landlord and we didn't bother to sign our copy) We will sign those agreements and send them.

We included Federal and state income tax returns for 2011, 2012, and 2013. They commented "No evidence to show that these tax returns were filed with and accepted by the taxing authorities were submitted" We have no idea what that means but we are going to request an online Tax Return Transcript for those years and send them.

We included utility bills - they didn't comment on that one.

Photos - no comments

Affidavits - no comments

We have a weak application because my wife accepted a job in Ohio we have been going back and forth from Ohio to NJ but we submitted from NJ. I'm doing my masters in NJ and could not move to OH. Also, she is coming back to NJ once that project in OH is finished.

Any advice on what I should send? I would highly appreciate it.

I received an RFE!

Notice date: Aug 19th.
