Why are you calling NVC everyday ?

To atleast let them know we're waiting for it, and hopefully push them to move fast. A lot of couples here did that and they were able to get their case number by just calling. NVC don't reply to emails right away too. So the best thing to do is to call them everyday.

I mean if they have said to wait for 4 weeks and then call, how is it going to get our case number faster by calling everyday. i am waiting since january 10th and they told me call this friday when i finish 4 weeks.

calling them daily puts unnecessary burden on them. i hope people realize this and call them when its really time to call them. please dont get me wrong , i am noy trying to be mean.

Like I said, emails take time. I personally know someone, K1, who received her case number by calling, but NVC emailed her case number after 2 weeks. You be the judge.

I wouldn't call it an unnecessary burden on them, they have staff who are there to answer the phones and paid for by our visa fees. The experience of previous filers suggests that unlike with the first stage at USCIS calling regularly means you will find out far quicker than any email notification you receive and lets them know you are going to keep chasing up your case. Who doesn't want to be up to date with their status by this point!

Well then that means that majority of the people will get their case number sooner. However they are getting it in 4 weeks ( 20 business days) even if they are calling daily or 3 times a week.
