I would suggest calling one more time before you fly to Manila. Again get the name and note the date and time of the call and who you spoke to. You should be okay as long as you bring document/s that have the case number on them as well as the names of the persons who told you you could come. The guards are usually pretty nice as long as you are nice to them. A smile goes a long way there.

I emailed slec and they replied, i will print it out and bring it just in case.. In their response they stated "Normally, appointment letter with interview date is presented to us during the medical examination. However it is your discretion to have the medical examination without the appointment letter, for as long as you know your case number and visa preference category."

US passport sized photos are 2x2 in size bring at least 3 pcs

I dont know if this had been answered well already but i will share my two cents anyway. My sons case was expedited. I SCHEDULED the interview after receiving an email from NVC that we can sked an appointment anytime. I waited for the status to be READY at the CEAC before I called the USEM Call Center. He is now, as of this writing, at SLEC. He presented the Appointment Confirmation plus the notice from NVC.

So, if your case is READY as per CEAC (you can double check by calling USEM and ask if they have received your case already), then you can schedule an interview anytime.

You can do it either by the phone (call center) or online. If you will sked an appointment via the call center, they have no knowledge of your case. What I did was, I emailed USEM (as i had a hard time contacting them by phone) and they replied that I can go ahead and sked an interview. Unfortunately, they responded so late ( i already did it ). Make sure that your papers are in the USEM so if you can call them much better, before doing anything. My sons case went READY twice. First was Jan 9 then Jan 11 which i think was a confirmation that USEM already has his papers.

How long did you have to wait for usem's reply? I emailed them about an inquiry last week and i still havent gotten any response as of today. Im hoping for a march schedule so i think maybe by that time usem already has my papers. But i will certainly call them later.

Dont wait for them to reply you, make a call to USEM. It took them more than 2 weeks to respond with the same answer I had in my mind.

It will take a week maybe. My sons case became ready on Jan 9 then again on Jan 17 ( i guess this means USEM have the docs already). Sked an interview now since it will be a month from now and it wont take that long for the docs not to arrive at USEM. Doing so means you can also have your medical at SLEC.

Had my medical exam done yesterday and today (feb10-11) and thank God i passed! yayyy! Now at naia waiting for my flight going home...as usual, it's delayed. Lol
