Visa stamp upon entry to USA

Hi Vj's!

I have my IR1-Visa. I may need to temporarily turn to the Philippines shortly after I enter the USA and process my green card and social security card. I may have to sell my 2012 SUV that I haven't been able to sell, even though I have priced the vehicle at a very low price. My understanding is the USCIS at the LA airport will stamp my visa allowing me to travel in and out of the Unites States for a period or one year.

Please advise me of anything that I need to be aware of that will prevent me from returning to the Philippines prior to receiving my green card.

My husband's family will be FedExing my green card to the Philippines when it comes in the mail.

Thank you and God bless!

cannot be out of the USA for more than 6 months for one trip.

That's it ! Everything else is easy !

This 'process your green card' is specious,

as

it's solely dependent on :

1. someone paying the fee at ELIS and

2. you crossing the border into the USA at a POE.

do those 2 things? the card will be issued 3 to 4 months later (ELIS SUCKS, btw)

You do NOT need the green card in the PI to LEAVE the PI or get through a POE in the USA,

so I suggest you not fedex the green card, at all.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
