Hey guys, so Ive been trying to give this site a break while I wait to be schedule for an interview, Which finally happened today. :dancing: NYC, is a busy place to file any kind of official documents, thank god for the distractions the city has too offer...

Anyways congrats to all you new citizens, congrats to all whom have already pass there interview and waiting for Oath, good luck to those that are having there interview soon, and hang in there for the many whom are still waiting...

Earlier today, I received what I believe to be my last ever electronic case status update from the USCIS:

Oath Ceremony

On August 7, 2014, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

This is for a judicial oath ceremony, and those are held only once a month in Miami. This month’s ceremony is already slated for next Friday (15th August), so it’s looking fairly likely that I’ll be swearing my oath during the September ceremony on 12th September. I will update the timeline with my oath date once I receive the actual letter in the post.

Hey guys, so Ive been trying to give this site a break while I wait to be schedule for an interview, Which finally happened today. :dancing: NYC, is a busy place to file any kind of official documents, thank god for the distractions the city has too offer...

Anyways congrats to all you new citizens, congrats to all whom have already pass there interview and waiting for Oath, good luck to those that are having there interview soon, and hang in there for the many whom are still waiting...

Have you tried calling the Customer Service Centre? Your in-line for interview scheduling wait time sinces awfully long...even for New York. It's possible (emphasis on "possible") that your case has simply not been updated in the USCIS case status tracker and that further action has actually been taken. If you do decide to call, your best bet is to attempt to reach a Tier II officer. They have far better real-time visibility into your case progress than the Tier I agents who are usually your first Live point of contact.

Have you tried calling the Customer Service Centre? Your in-line for interview scheduling wait time sinces awfully long...even for New York. It's possible (emphasis on "possible") that your case has simply not been updated in the USCIS case status tracker and that further action has actually been taken. If you do decide to call, your best bet is to attempt to reach a Tier II officer. They have far better real-time visibility into your case progress than the Tier I agents who are usually your first Live point of contact.

Hey KASH,

Aurelius was in line for scheduling on May 12, 3014 and apparently got touched today regarding the letter he's to receive with his interview date.

Just had a talk with a tier 1. I didn't push for tier 2 because my 90 day is Sunday. NYC is moving slowly but he told me that tier 2 addresses issues and not just queries. I've spoken to tier 2 before when I've had issues cause I know that tier 1 can only see what we see. They are limited in what they are allowed to know lol. Anyway, Mr. Tier 1 (Oscar) told me that cases that have a weekend date as the 90 day deadline are worked on by Friday and those not done then they work on it the Monday. He said that letters should go out so that applicants receive their letter with their interview date before the 90 day period for interview scheduling passes. I told him it's not the case cause I've seen cases where applicants are waiting 120days without an interview date. He said while he cannot see who is working on my case he knows that it's being worked on (yeah yeah). Told him I'll be calling on Monday if I get no update or mail. Edited by kcoyclay1

As of June 30, 2014, the processing timeline for NYC was updated from 5.9 months to 7.6 months. As I am the last on this list, I hope I am not pushed to that timeline category :unsure: even with my conversation with the tier 1 rep today. :clock::clock::clock:
