N400 package sent to USCIS Phoenix, Arizona Lockbox on 3rd March.

NOA received on 14th March.

Check encashed on 10th March

Priority Date: 7th March

Finger Print letter received on 18th March

Finger Print appointment date: 31st March

Field Office: Saint Louis, MO

Immigration Journey

 

  • On L-1B visa for about 1.5 years before getting my F1 visa.
  • F1 (2 years) to OPT (6 months) to H-1B (8 years; Had an approved I-140 and extended my H-1B beyond 6 years) to Conditional GC (3 years 3 months) to Permanent GC.
  • I had earned 40 credits in Social Security, submitted I-864W when filing for I-130.
  • Husband and I are both Indians by birth. Husband became a naturalized USC in July 2014 and I applied for AOS in August 2014.

My package was suppose to reach it's destination on Saturday 3/15. I just checked online (again) and it shows it was delivered on Monday 3/17. Woo.

I would think given the tax year doesn't technically end til April 15th you wouldn't have to include 2013 as part as the 'last 3 years' of tax returns. We did, but only because we filed early and I was able to get the transcript before I mailed our package.

My appointment for biometic is 4/4/2014 but I am thinking go on 3/31/2014 because my hubby will be out of town for business trip and I don't want to take my baby with me.

I know a lot of people went earlier than their appointment and accepted to take their finger print.

But I haven't heard that people went earlier for biometic for naturalization.

It shouldn't be a problem. Right??

My USCIS website status has 6 categories: Acceptance, Initial Review, Testing and Interview, Decision, Post Decision Activity, and Oath Ceremony. I am in Initial Review now, and it probably won't change until sometime after my Biometrics are finished.

NATURALIZATION

02/25/2014 - Eligibility date.

03/03/2014 - N-400 package mailed.

03/11/2014 - Check cashed.

03/14/2014 - NOA received.

04/09/2014 - Biometrics.

04/28/2014 - In-Line for Interview - 6 hours later Interview Scheduled!!

05/02/2014 - Interview Letter received. (Mailed on 29 April)

05/26/2014 - 3 year anniversary.

06/02/2014 - Interview. PASSED!

09/11/2014 - Oath Ceremony.

09/16/2014 - Updated driver licence and registered to vote.

10/08/2014 - Updated Social Security

10/14/2014 - Applied for U.S. Passport

Did your online status changed to finger print notice sent before you received finger print notice?

The status will remain Initial Review but it would have a note underneath it -

Initial Review

On March 6, 2014, we mailed you an appointment notice to have your fingerprints taken. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
