Well my documents got finally delivered by USPS on March 20, 2014 (USPS temporarily lost my package), check hasn't been cashed yet and no notification...I'm hopeful nothing strange happened to my docs when they were "lost".

Well my documents got finally delivered by USPS on March 20, 2014 (USPS temporarily lost my package), check hasn't been cashed yet and no notification...I'm hopeful nothing strange happened to my docs when they were "lost".

That's good news! I doubt anything strange would have happened to your documents.

I was upset with USPS too, because I mailed my package on 3/19 with 2-Day Priority Mail, guaranteed delivery on the 21st. Well, the 21st came and went, and no update online, other that it had reached the Sort Facility in Phoenix, AZ. Turns out they actually delivered my package on the 22nd instead of the 21st, which was a Saturday. So hopefully it would have been picked up by USCIS today. But so much for guaranteed USPS delivery which you specifically pay for....

June 26, 2010 - civil wedding
Aug 2, 2010 - I-130 package mailed to the London Consulate (DCF)
Aug 9, 2010 - NOA1 (confirmation of receipt) via email

That's the thing, I paid for 2 day service and it was supposed to get there on March 17. I had a case open cause they couldn't locate it and finally it appeared and it was delivered 3 days late.

My husband and I had a similar thing happen with his passport renewal application last year. The status was never updated, their Customer Service couldn't locate it, we opened a case, we heard nothing, and the only way we knew it got there was because the check was eventually cashed about a week after we mailed the package. USPS seems to be getting worse every year, and there seems to be something about delivering to government related P.O. Boxes too (as it has happened to us twice now in less than a year).

Hopefully this is the only hiccup on our path to citizenship though :)

I checked USCIS website and the applicaiton is 21 pages. Which printing is preferable? Both sides of the paper or one side?

I printed mine one sided. I don't know if that's preferable or not, but I would think it would be, especially with the barcode on the bottom of every page.
