I am very, very sorry that you interprete my actions as an attack, I assure you that they are not. Further, even if incorrect postings have been made in the past, once caught, they can be eliminated for future posts.

Regarding your opinion that I owe you a word of thanks for your message, I have no comment.

First of all, there are other members who regularly update timelines without indicating anything in their posts. Secondly, I had previously raised the issue of whether or not to "redden" a member's timeline until the oath was actually over since oaths can be modified as you explicitly stated above. However another regular member commented that it's fine to "redden" as soon as someone has the oath dates available, hence I abided with that. I find it rather odd that you choose to attack me for things that other members have been doing all along. Thank you for attempting to "fix my mistakes" but there were none in this case. Also, when someone wishes you good luck with your future ventures, you could say "thank you."

Do as you wish. I gave neither advice nor a new setting, and if you bother to read point 7 of the posting instructions, it's clear enough that I'm right and you're not.

Those are not incorrect postings, they are formatted in a way that has been accepted by regular members who update N-400 timelines. If we now choose to follow your advice, we'd have to "un-redden" and thus modify several previous months' of N-400. Unless I hear from the collective to abide by your new setting, I won't change that and hence I'm going to have to re-modify your previous timeline posting.

I'm not sure there's anything to accommodate since here in the March 2014 thread, we have debated many things, but equivocating on when to finalise a member's timeline based on the oath date has never been one of them. In this thread, it's worked out quite nicely. I'm not an April 2014 filer, so I have no need or motivation to review that thread.

Please, don't things personally. I am not making attacks or accusations as you have repeatedly claimed.

Anyway, are you a March filer? When are you expecting your own oath ceremony scheduling?

There's no right or wrong here. I'm only accommodating to what the collective wants. If I had it my way I would agree with you and not redden a person's timeline until they came back and reported that their oath was complete. If you don't believe me, you are free to check the N-400 April filers thread, where I precisely brought up this point. If you find pleasure in accusing me of wrongdoing, all I'm going to say is cheers and have a nice day.

Updating my Oath ceremony date! :)

I received the letter this morning and it was a huge surprise to find out it is scheduled for August 27.

Thank you Missicy and Mistere for your positive thoughts :) It seems that all the March applicants from Chatsworth, Oxnard and San Bernardino have received our Oath ceremony dates!

One data point regarding passports: My wife applied for a passport on July 31 (the day after her oath ceremony) and received the passport on August 11. She got her naturalization certificate back two days later, on August 13. We paid for expedited service ($60 extra) but not for overnight delivery.

11/30/07: Married in Mexico

I-130 Timeline
01/12/08: I-130 sent to VSC
02/11/08: NOA1
10/14/08: NOA2
11/18/08: Case complete at NVC
02/04/09: Interview--CR1 visa granted!
02/05/09: POE in El Paso, TX

Removal of Conditions Timeline
01/08/11: I-751 package sent to VSC
01/11/11: NOA1
02/08/11: Biometrics appointment
08/16/11: Approved!
08/20/11: 10-year green card received

Citizenship Timeline

03/03/14: N-400 sent to Dallas, TX

03/07/14: NOA1

04/03/14: Biometrics appointment

05/21/14: Interview--passed!

07/30/14: Oath ceremony

Congratulations!!!

Just finished my interview and it was approved!

The office was busy today. I had to wait because my assigned USCIS Officer was interviewing 4 members of a family along with an interpreter, my turn was right after them!

My appointment was at 9:00, the interview started around 10:15 and by 10:30 I was out of the office :)

1. What is freedom of religion?

2. How many U.S. Senators are there?

3. When must all men register for the Selective Service?

4. When was the Constitution written?

5. What ocean is on the East Coast of the United States?

6. What is the capital of the United States?

What do we have to pay to the government? We pay taxes.

Everything went very smoothly and I got the N-652.

This is an update I have been waiting to see. Thanks for sharing...

I had my intervew this afternoon at longe island city in newyork my interview at 12.40 I was there at 12 pm the immigration officer call my name at 12.25 I went inside the room he introduce me and tell me to take the oath then he said pls sit

woohoo, received an update from USCIS -- today (8/12) they scheduled my interview :) I can't wait to get the letter with the actual info, time to start studying again.

Congratulations!!! Glad to see a lot of March 2014 updates...

Updated with my oath date - got my oath letter. Strangely, yesterday I got an email saying I was placed in the oath scheduling queue, but the system hasn't been updated to show that I have been sent my interview letter. Not sweating it, I have the letter in my hands. September 17th it is!

Wow, the Detroit office seems to be crawling. I hope you hear something soon.

October? My DH had called about 2 weeks ago and was told to wait 15 to 30 days before calling again. I looked through April, May, and June filers and there was only one in May who was for Detroit and they were put in line on 7/15/2014. I just can't believe how long it has taken for us in Detroit to get scheduled.

Pre-debrief:

I became a United States citizen about nine hours ago. The judicial oath ceremony capped what I must say has been a rather straightforward process at the Miami USCIS local field office. I expect to return shortly and post a more comprehensive debrief.

I proceeded straight to the Miami Passport Agency after my oath ceremony to apply for both a passport and passport card, and have been directed to return on Monday for their pick-up.
