02-07-2014: Application Sent

02-11-2014: Application Received

02-11-2014: Priority Date

02-18-2014: NOA Received

Which n-400 form should be used? New edition?

You can use the old version until May 5th, but you're free to use the new one right away if you want.

Timeline:

2005-04-14: met online

2005-09-03: met in person

2007-02-26: filed for K-1

2007-03-19: K-1 approved

2007-06-11: K-1 in hand

2007-07-03: arrived in USA

2007-07-21: got married, yay!

2007-07-28: applied for green card

2008-02-19: conditional green card in hand

2010-01-05: applied for removal of conditions

2010-06-14: 10-year green card in hand

2013-11-19: applied for US citizenship

2014-02-10: became a US citizen

2014-02-22: applied for US passport

2014-03-14: received US passport

Technically I am eligible to file March 17 but I will wait until April to file. Goodluck March filers!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Wife"s 90 day window opens 25 Feb, but we are waiting til the first week of March. Here's hoping March will be lucky for all of us!! We live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and I think our Service Center will be New Orleans (Metairie). Anybody else out there have any info on the processing times or reviews for Metairie?

NATURALIZATION

02/25/2014 - Eligibility date.

03/03/2014 - N-400 package mailed.

03/11/2014 - Check cashed.

03/14/2014 - NOA received.

04/09/2014 - Biometrics.

04/28/2014 - In-Line for Interview - 6 hours later Interview Scheduled!!

05/02/2014 - Interview Letter received. (Mailed on 29 April)

05/26/2014 - 3 year anniversary.

06/02/2014 - Interview. PASSED!

09/11/2014 - Oath Ceremony.

09/16/2014 - Updated driver licence and registered to vote.

10/08/2014 - Updated Social Security

10/14/2014 - Applied for U.S. Passport

10/27/2014 - U.S. Passport arrived in mail (13 days - DID NOT expedite)

10/30/2014 - Naturalization Certificate arrived in mail (was not folded)

MY IMMIGRATION JOURNEY IS OFFICIALLY FINISHED!!

Wow this was started early. I'm planning on sending my N-400 application as soon as I get my pictures this week, I'm filling out the new (and very long) version of the N-400 form since the old one is no longer available. I was wondering if it would actually speed things up since it has the new 2D barcode. Any Comments, experience?

My wife will be mailing her N-400 today as soon as the Post Office opens. She is using one of the Old Forms she had saved on the computer. If it works the way it should, the barcode should speed thinks up a bit. Anyway, good luck to all us March filers. Based on where we live, her biometrics and interview should be in New Orleans (Metairie).
