How is the Syria barrel bomb Obama's fault?

I made no such allegation per se.

Obama promised military intervention if Assad used chemical weapons. Assad used chemical weapons. Obama did nothing because Putin told him not to (Obama determined that to be preferable to the Republicans telling him not to) when in fact he needed no one's permission.

Obama withdrew his support of the opposition in Syria in favor of "talks" and Assad has since been brutalizing his own people. Obama is not "to blame" for barrel bombs, but Obama has not met his promises and therefore is not considered a serious threat by anyone.

Assad does what he wants. Obama does nothing. Russia builds 40 new ships to deploy in the Artic to stake their claim to the polar region over Canada's claim...Obama does nothing. Obama promised to support Ukraine if it signed deals with the EU and then fell flat on its promise to Syria and Isreal over Iran nuclear enrichment. Not to mention his embarrassing inability to produce a WEBSITE. Yanukovych decided not to trust Obama and 3 days after Obama caved in to Iran, he signed a pact with Putin resulting in a full blown revolution now affecting more than half the cities of Ukraine. And I need to go to Kiev next month! Putin violates treaties negotiated by Reagan, Obama does nothing. Ever wonder WHY these things happen when they do?

The President of the Untied States can NEVER go to a press conference and say "I didn't know anything about that" His rump swabs accept that as reason not to "blame" him, but the leader of the free world cannot EVER do that...nor can he whine about FOX news and Rush Limbaugh. He looks a total fool and he cannot do that. He cannot have a healthcare plan fall on its face when every other country in the world has already done it.

Imagine this...Truman says "the Buck Stops Here" Obama says "Buck? What's a buck? I didn't even know there was a buck" Truman stands up to the Russians in Berlin...Obama just does what they say.

Putin has assembled an new "Post Soviet Union" and it will launch in one year. It is an economic/political union of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Moldova. It is the industrial and financial core of the FSU. Who needs the Baltic states? They were never anything but troublemakers for the Soviets. Central Asian Republics? Drains on the economy, as they always were. Because Obama is a puss-puss the SU will be restored. Do you expect the expansion of rights and freedoms?

As in the past, when the US President show weakness to the world, the bullies run him over and crush a lot of innocent people. Hitler did it when Chamberlain wussed out. Brezhnev did it when Carter wimped out. Putin and his allies, Assad for one, are doing it to Obama,

In 1979 our satellites discovered a reinforced brigade of Soviet troops in Cuba. At the time there were wars in Nicaragua and Honduras. Carter demanded to know the meaning of this. He was told it was "manuevers" He pressed the Russians to pull out the troops and to assure the world they had no intentions of invading by removing the offensive equipment. Brezhnev told Carter to pound sand in his @ss, they were there for "manuevers"...piss off! Carter then asked Brezhnev what he would do if Carter "announced" the SU had withdrawn their forces. Brezhnev said he did not care what Carter lied about. Carter lied. 3 weeks later the SU invaded Afghanistan. If Carter would not defend his own hemisphere Brezhnev had a free hand in Afghanistan. He did. Until Reagan took office/

Of course our embassy had already been seized and Carter did nothing about the either. Reagan came along and the Iranian hostages were released as he took the oath of offiuce after 444 days, within the next 10 years (Reagan and Bush) the FSU was out of Afghanistan, the Berlin wall was a tourist site, communism was dead in eastern Europe, and the SU was the FSU...and not a shot fired!

Obama is a weak, incompetent civil servant. He should be removed and reassigned to the desk at a SS office...at most.

For the record, Chamberlain was the UK Prime Minister that caved to Hitler, not a US President. OUR leader had nothing to say at that point. The point is that in order for evil to succeed, the only thing necessary is for good men to do nothing.

As much as I abhor war, in the case of Syria we should never have "heard" about the chemical attack. Had Obama kept his word on other issues and bad people could take him seriously, it would never have happened. That would have been preferred. But his weakness left no option, either fight or flight. He chose flight. More people must now die.

Since it DID happen the first thing we should have heard about was our instantaneous military strikes on Syria followed by the news that they had used chemical weapons. It should have been over and done before we even heard the first report. A lot more people would be alive right now.

Like Grenada in 1983. I wake up and find we have invaded Grenada, the island is already secure and our American student hostages are safe! #######? Who knew there were hostages? Compare that to the situation in Iran with Carter. Air Traffic controllers went on strike? Fire them! Libyan planes play their games with our ships...shoot them down. No warning is needed, no permission is needed.

Such is the plight of the world when America is seen as weak.

We draw the line at being strong, and choosing good leaders. If Reagan can bring down the SU without a shot, you mean we cannot handle these tin horn dictators? We also have to play smart and not say stupid things and DO stupid things. You give Pakistan $2 billion a year to help "find" Osama Bin Laden and you guarantee they will NEVER "find" him. What you do is offer him lots of aid to allow you to use your special forces to find him and offer to continue the aid if he cooperates.

Iraq was a personal war and should never have been started (I refer to the 2nd Iraq war, not 1991) 1991 was one of those unavoidable things caused by meglomaniacs. We did it right and mostly only bad guys were killed and it was quick and decisive. It also helped throw over the SU when their equipment was shown to be JUNK by our superior stuff and they lost most of their foreign orders for their things. Economic collapse could not be far behind.

Afghanistan? Undermine the corrupt government by offering to buy the entire opium crop for three times what terrosist pay for it. Give the poor people a living, deprive the bad guys of their money and it costs less than a military campaign no one has ever won. Afghanistan is also the world's largest source of lithium. Maybe we need to be developing that for them. Give them an economic alternative to selling opium to terrorists who use it to fund their terror and corrupt the government. After we buy the stiff we sink 90% of it in the ocean and sell the rest for legitimate medicinal use. Instead we try to BURN the opium which just pisses them off and can never be accomplished anyway. It would be cheaper to buy it at 3 times market price.

When we had good leaders we could pull off all sorts of takeovers and regime change without a shot.
