Pardon me for the long delay, we've both been extremely busy lately.

We appreciate all of the positive feedback we've been getting, It's very uplifting to read that we have a chance.

I would like to clarify, although we did talk about the future and marriage. We did not plan to get married, before or while I crossed the american border. The decision came up about a week before Halloween.

We're confidently putting our package together, making sure we make copies of everything. We were curious if I (the intended immigrant) am supposed to have a medical examination, and send the proof with the package. Well.. when do I do that? And if so, does it matter what doctor/registered nurse I use?

I'm also wondering about and police records I would need to send? I have NOT EVER been convicted of a crime, or had any dealings with the police.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

No police records needed.

You need to get an immigration medical done with a USCIS-certified Civil Surgeon (not just any doctor). Go on uscis.gov and there is a Civil Surgeon locator. Call around and get quotes; the price can vary.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Thank you! I'm looking writing down the numbers now. Does the medical form need to be sent with thepetition, AOS and such?

Yes, the Civil Surgeon will give you the results on a sealed envelope. Send the sealed envelope in your AOS packet (do not open the envelope!)
