Calling this a feel good story is to extrapolate all kinds of nonsense? huh.png

That's a really jaded attitude to take from that. sad.png

That's not what I said. Once again for the hard of hearing - it is great that there are people in the world who are generous and give out anonymous donations within the community, that's fabulous and makes the heart warm.

What is not so great are those recipients of said generosity who feel the need to get 10 minutes of fame by shouting about their good fortune directly to the media thus making it more likely that the journalists will poke their great snoopy noses in and try to find the benefactors for more feel good minutes. It's not what the act of generosity was about in my opinion and the detail is not necessary or really very newsworthy. Is that what the great US media is for now?

Oh wait, I forgot, the only reason to get married is to make babies. Nm

Don't forget. It's also a good way to get a visa to the U.S.

Vj is becoming a dating sight. Maybe NB and penny can have a joint wedding with danno and Cleo, you know, the save on costs.

Well now lets not misrepresent.

The only reason for "marriage" ( the institution) is for the care of children.

Heck there are a million personal reasons, "get married" some have to do with immigration.

It's completely fine for the recipient to publicly show appreciation, it is in poor spirit for the giver to draw attention to ones self.

Danno? will you dig deep,

and learn if the waitress is muslim or christian or something else?

or no?

sure - it's extra keystrokes outside of Vj, and you have to click things not at vj.

What say you?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

No it's not. I don't post in or read every thread, I don't feel under any pressure to comment about everything that comes up. That you think I should be is even more bizarre than my earlier statement. If I was an anonymous donor I would want my donation to remain anonymous, that would be the point of it. Not sure why my sentiment is phoney, I haven't displayed any. I have said that I think if this is true the waitress displays poor judgement. I still think that.

Some people are just destined to be miserable and since misery loves company, they prefer to bring others down to their level, rather than rising up and embracing the better things in life. And that is The Truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me....

Remind me why your inaccurate analysis of my state of mind is relevant in any way?

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/tenn-waitress-shocked-1-075-tip-article-1.1598998

A Tennessee waitress was stunned after her customers served her a supersized tip.

The unidentified family’s bill for a Wednesday night out at Cheddar's in Knoxville came up to $29.30. But when Khadijah Muhammad picked up their receipt, she saw an extra $1,075.

That's a tip of 3,669%.

"I just remember seeing a comma after the one and knew it wasn't $10. And I was like, 'Oh, my God!'” the waitress told WBIR. “And I just lost my balance and I was like, 'Does this say a thousand dollars?' I could not believe it."

A blessing to be sure.

I am missing the racial angle here. What is it?

At Chrismas I like to get several hundred dollar bills and give them out to random people who look like they could really use them

This year a 7-8 month pregnant waitress at the Waffle House, a man picking up cans in a ditch, and a Homeless man pushing a shopping buggy each got a 100 dollar bill.

I scared the ####### out of the man picking up cans. I pulled up beside him on a country rode and rolled down my window. I thought he was going to run.

You know us conservatives we hate the poor
