A reasonable person looks at things on their own merits, not on some spurious clutch of assumptions.

That you don't see a sexual relationship between a woman and (for all intents and purposes) her father as being morally and ethically dubious is no surprise.

However, it's less controversial than you think. Teachers for example are not generally permitted to indulge in sexual relationship with their students, above the age of consent or not. This is because they occupy a position of trust and responsibility (not unlike a parent) and breaking that wall is generally considered to be unethical.

Again, this is not a profound idea. Unless of course your beliefs on the subject are not your own but are based on those of people who disagree with you.

It's because he's not very smart. His opinion on this subject is a reaction to what he believes mine to be. That his assumptions are wrong is no surprise, but if someone wants to believe that you're an extremist then they will find a way.

If child abuse is proven, it would make a case for pedophilia. Certainly nobody deserves an award for that. However, you need to keep in mind that we are talking about his art. That Woody Allen is or may be a criminal does not invalidate the quality of his art. It may be hard to separate one from the other but all the same...

In regards to the age difference, it is between him and his wife, as is each marriage.

Allen certainly has psychological issues, I don't think that's ever been in any doubt. The child abuse allegations go back over 20 years, as to whether there is any truth to them that would need to be the subject of a detailed investigation, if there is merit to them.

Regardless, there is reason to believe that Allen's relationship choices are not healthy. His marriage to Soon Yi isn't illegal nor should it be however given his relationship with her through her adopted mother, it is reasonable to question his judgement for initiating a relationship with her.

He was not a successful painter, he didn't have any appreciable talent. Any postumous sales of his work have an inflated value because of his notoriety not because of their intrinsic artistic value. That said, if you like it, you like it. Art itself is not constrained by the morality of the artist whether you care for that idea or not.
