Hello, I discovered our case is in transit to the embassy in Bogotá, but I don't understand why the message on the DOS website says my visa date interview was provided by the NVC. Aren't I supposed to choose the visa date? Do they choose a date for you

Each consulate is different. Go to US embassy portal on this website or ask VJ members that their beneficiaries are from Colombia. One more thing, you should removed your case number on attachment.

Hey quick question, how did you check when the NVC received your file, or did you just call them up?

Many thanks

I called them. After they received your case file and then assigned you a case number before forward to US consulate that listed on your I-129F form.
