The consensus seems to be that it would further delay AP.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I have a valid visit visa to USA but on the same time I have an immigrant visa under administrative processing,Can I visit USA on my tourist visa?? Please help

I guess it depends on where yer passport is.

Since the immigrant visa isn't issued yet,

and there's already a tourist visa glued inside of your passport,

I have to think the tourist visa has not be invalidated, yet.

USUALLY the tourist visa is invalidated by the IV Unit when the immigrant visa is issued.

Where's yer passport?

[note I'm saying 'maybe' here. I could, of course, be dead wrong]

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My passport is from Jordan, and my visit visa is valid till end of 2015, the immidrant visa is not issued yet and the CO asked me about my visa during my interview.

No, another poster did and got a misrep upon interview with

the CO giving him 221G to file a I601...took 7 mths for his

approval, every case is different & CO, but its not a chance to take

My interview was before 10 months and CO was informed about my visit visa on my passport. If there is a problem then why I was not informed by CO not to use it or why they did not cancel it? The interview was in the same embassy that issued my visit visa.

They will have something else to check.

Firstly like I said nobody really knows, the speculation is that you are in the check process which takes a certain amount of time and by visiting you add another element which adds time.

I read a lot trying to find anything related to this matter but the only thing i found was on the Frequently Asked Questions(official embassy website) :

Can I apply for a tourist visa if I have already applied for an immigrant visa?

Yes. You are eligible to apply for a tourist visa if you have a pending immigrant visa, but you are not allowed to hold both at the same time. If a family member has applied for an Immigrant Visa for you and you would like to travel shortly for tourism, you may apply for an NIV but in order to qualify you must be able to demonstrate strong ties to your host country.

But you have a visa?
