Hello

I just wanted to share with you all that i got an email today saying that the AP is approved and that they will be sending the approval notice. my question is: is the approval notice the actual AP? i mean can we already travel outside the usa with that approval.

Also, i've read that it doesnt take that long to get EAD after you get AP... is this true...

can someone please tell me.. im confused :unsure:

My understanding is that you need the actual document that comes in the mail. Not sure about your second question, sorry.

01/22/07 - received IV Fee Bill - overnighted back to NVC same day

01/27/07 - recieved I864 package; 01/29/07 - overnighted I864 to NVC

01/29/07 - DS230 generated (phone system not updated, email response 2/5/07)

02/05/07 - mailed DS-230 to NVC via express mail

02/20/07 - CASE COMPLETE!!

04/18/07 - INTERVIEW!!!! - APPROVED!!!!

i got our EAD a few days after our AP was approved, but we filed at the same time and our biometrics was done fairly quickly after NOA1. check my siggy for details

Yes, you need the document to travel. The approval notice is the actual document. You will get 2 copies of the same document, when you return they will keep one and stamp one and give it back to you.

January 10, 2007 EAD is approved

February 13, 2007 AOS Interview: Appoved with passport stamping!

February 26, 2007 Greencard received!

Removal of Conditions:

February 12, 2009 I-751 Received.

March 17, 2009 Biometrics.

July 8, 2009 Card production ordered!

well being that we just surpassed 1000 days since beginning with this process (hardly a siggy to desire), i would surmize that you are talking about my most recent approval for AP & EAD. Nothing extraordinary was done, just my local office stepped up from their incompentence last year to approve on time. It's how it should have been done. :star:

or you could be marveling at my power of organization in presenting a siggy that is succinct and clear :lol:
