Hi everyone!

*By accident I posted at the K-1 forum board :( Sorry, not spamming!

My husband and I married May last year, filed immediately after and recently received the NOA2 (Texas). I have a question:

My husband (my sponsor) has a job that pays a lot per/h but shifts are, well, shifty. :/ Would USCIS still approve the request even if we don't have steady income at the moment? Even though I think we're well off enough, will it be a problem? Could anyone please describe what they looked for instead of what the books say? (A lawyer is WAY too expensive).

Thank you so much!

Here's the poverty guidelines loojk at how manyin your household and if he meets it (its the 125%). Current and some CO's like to see last years at guidelines. Really a strong work history of making money.

If current wages don't meet guidelines you will need a co-sponsor that does meet the guidelines.

Thank you dwheels76! The thing is, he's paid 17/per hour, but since he started working this january (2014) we don't have any w2's or anything of the sort (can't pay taxes either, since last year he didn't work).

Use paystubs and a letter from his employer to show he a) has a job and b) what his current annual income would be. Normally you work that out by: $$/hour x average hours per week x 52 weeks = current yearly income.
