First off let me say that your posts have helped me tremendously in getting to this step and I thank all of you for sharing your experiences.

My husband had his F2A interview at the US Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica on 1/23/2014. He was given a 221G form and was told that he needed to provide an original divorce certificate. They kept his passport and gave him instructions on how to register with CSC. The requested document was delivered to the embassy on 1/28/14.

However, when I checked CEAC his status is still in AP. Does anyone have a similar experience and how long does this process take for them to issue the visa?

Hi

everyone's case is different. My husband had his interview on Jan 21st. On the 22nd the site said he was in AP and on the 23 they issued the visa. His passport was available for pickup on the 28th. Some people go into AP and remain there for months. I hope you guys don't have to wait too long.

Currently in AP and have been since December. My fiance had his interview on December 24th. Embassy told me they have an overload of work.

Were u asked to provide missing documents? If so, when did you send in those documents?

I hadn't provided the original affidavit of support. I mailed it via FedEx that same day (12/24) and they received it on 12/27. I received confirmation of delivery and receipt from FedEx, it even showed who signed for it. I also confirmed with the embassy that they do have it.
