I have spent a lot of time searching government sites, as well as this site and one other for an answer that is hard to find.

I cannot find the "must do" answer as to taking children to the interview. All I see is so many saying... bring your children, I brought my children. And it goes on and on.The children are 4 & 6. I can't imagine how difficult it will be to fly from Davao, stand in line, sit and wait and make it to an interview with any calmness at all. I will be going to the interview so I know some of the waiting will be minimized but what a horrible day with two small children!

Also, are all the fees 3 times for the children? DS-160 & visa?

Thank you all in advance for your help!

hello,

base on my experience, you need to bring your children on your interview appointment coz they need their personal appearance for finger scanning and the consule want to see them aside from that they had two question for the children only their names and birthday and thats it. In regards to ds160 and fees you have to pay the visa each and you need to fill up the ds-160 of each person. Good luck to you everything will be ok.. keep on praying.

Thank you for your help. I was hoping for a different answer and even found this thanks to Visa Questions on Face Book: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/87877.pdf

Wow, the flights, and fees are going to kill me... When I started this I had some wrong information and thought that since the kids are so small, no need for interview. Now they have to go to Manila three times and mom goes four (maybe can make this three). The last trip of course is to head this way.

You have to pay for each person who will get a visa. Each person needs to fill up the DS160.. Each person who will get a visa should be present on the interview. It will be costly and I hope you find the most efficient way to get around this.

Good luck! :)

Thanks to all for yours comments. I am going to see what it takes to get a waiver. It just makes no sense to drag small children through that process. It's worth a try.
