I would love to know how many of these folks Voted for "hope and change?"

Remember what I said way back when, NO ONE FAVORS A PROGRAM WHERE THEY GET LESS OUT OF IT, THAN THEY PUT IN.

Obama gottem.... promised them that we were going insure the uninsurable AND our payments would go down too.

Many of you fell for it too.

It happens..... I have been duped in the past myself..... by suppressing what I knew to be true about the nature of Gov't

To be able to call these things with accuracy you primarily need to know two things.

- The nature of Gov't

-The nature of man.

Can you cite one example, of any type of insurance where the policy holder gets more out of it than what is put in? It seems you fail to grasp the very basic concept of capitalism, and how it works.

Another graphic from Lost with no comment from him. Hey dude, I'm still waiting for you to explain how I, as a Federal Employee, am exempt from "Obamacare."

I haven't yet been hit by Obamascalp. But a friend of mine is now paying $7,000 a year with a $6,000 deductible. Effectively, he must pay the first $13,000 per year for health care. And that does not count co-pays if he needs meds or other things throughout the year.

I would say it would be cheaper to pay the $95 fine and just keep my premiums, paying for exams as I go. My health bills are normally less than $3k per year, even with annual physicals.

Wait a minute, did you really compare the free market to a Gov't program?

Back to the main point... the reason so many people are upset with Obama care is because they are now paying more.

They wanted people with "pre-existing conditions" to be covered but they never thought for a moment, who would pick up the tab.

They are starting to learn..... oh but the lesson is just beginning.

BushBaby didn't make a pledge to reduce insurance premiums. The current President did. dry.png

Yeah, but that graphic is very misleading since the Affordable Care Act doesn't really come in to affect until this year. That is why I posted my version of meaningless numbers.

ACA premiums have already taken effect. And in the majority of cases, they seem to have increased. As have deductibles.

No, but the legislation was structured to give a three year lead in period, for all parties to get their ducks in a row. Therefore, it isn't unreasonable to link a part of the premium rise to the PPACA, in the guise of insurers raising their premiums to counter the (so far non-existent) premium reductions promised by the legislation's proponents.

This is another case of the President making ill-advised promises for his policies that have come back to haunt him. He tied no timescale to his pledge, so the logical assumption is to make any comparisons to the level of premiums at the point in time when he made his pledge, and there is little to no possibility that his promised reductions will become reality now, as the goalposts have been moved from the time point when it was made.

Just another reason the PPACA has proven to be the wrong answer. :(

So your point is- The market increased the cost of Healthcare 3,826 in five years while Bush was in office.

As soon as Obama lowered the price it went up about 3,000 in one year.

And we have barely got started.

During the Bush years, one could say "screw it, I'm not paying that much, I'll just pay as I go."

UNder Obama.... you will friggin pay no matter how high it goes.

They are upset becuase they are paying, period. Until Obamacare they had a free ride and had the prerogative to seek treatment in ERs and leave their bills for the rest of us to pay.
